Okay, I don't care if you guys hate pop or whatever, but this is a very sad day for pop fans.
A very underrated pop artist named SOPHIE (Sophie Xeon) has died today after a fall in Athens, Greece. She was considered one of the best artists in pop from her interesting usage of production and PC pop influences. She was also well known for her surrealism in her lyrics, and again, in her production. I've listened to a few of her songs, including It's Okay To Cry and I honestly wished people would stop changing their mind about an artists' music after death. It happened to Micheal Jackson, it happened to George Micheal, it happened to Sulli, Chester Bennington, XXXtentacion, now SOPHIE. Like if you're gonna listen to music to that you know you're gonna hate, consider why they did it? Did they want to make you happy and dance? Find vivid imagery? A message? SOPHIE nailed it in emotion and vivid imagery. I personally believe just listening it to crticize it is just a a common thing to do and strays away what music is supposed to make you feel. Enjoyment. If a radio song is getting annoying or doesn't do a good job in message or passion, just turn it off. But find out why they putted it out. Even if it sounds stupid. Did they shoehorn it? Mostly, it's no. I'm guilty of this for her music and I just feel like **** doing it.
