I think the overall somewhat defensive nature of the neutral game is hated on too much from Melee players. Especially since there are other respected fighting games that have a kinda defensive neutral game. Not trying to start anything with Melee fans btw.

Yeah that's interesting as well. Would be even cooler if there was a mode that works iike Marvel vs Capcom where you picked a team of fighters who each had one stock so you respawn as the next one after a death. I believe Project M has a mode like that and Smash tour in Smash 4 ends like that.

Dr Mario should have a move involving viruses. Maybe a a bit like Dededes side be from Brawl where he throws them out. Also his pills should be a lot more important to his gameplay somehow.

Greninja is underrated because of the whole nerf greninja meme. Also I think most top players would opt to go for sheik for that archetype of character even though they have very different playstyles.
