Smash 3DS Maybe an exclusive Smash Circle Pad Pro?

Taunts aren't particularly useful, and in the Brawl custom controls, you weren't required to have every control usable. (This is just assuming we have custom controls) If your thumb is big enough, you should be able to use the middle of your thumb to press on the d-pad.

Smash 3DS Maybe an exclusive Smash Circle Pad Pro?

I contemplated this the second I heard about the release, and came to that reasoning. The Circle Pad is much to bulky, and useless for everything else. I also don't use taunts at all, but I'm doubting that you'll be able to put controls on the touch screen because the %'s and game info is down...

Smash 3DS Maybe an exclusive Smash Circle Pad Pro?

I only use the C-stick for behind Fsmashes, and USmashes. I'd be happy with being able to use the d-pad, for smash inputs. (It would be awkward at first, but I could probably get used to it.) I don't think it's that necessary, mainly because most of the beginning audience used the Wiimote for...

    Rolling is the New Wavedash?

Good point. The Bowser player who won, was miles better than the others... Probably should have understood how little I used the roll in Brawl, before I posted this. Mods, you should probably lock this thread.

    Rolling is the New Wavedash?

I'm not exactly sure what you guys think, but throughout the SDCC tourney this weekend, I saw most of the players constantly rolling for positioning. It looks like the roll is basically going to be the new positioning technique used, because the roll seems a lot faster than it was in Melee and...

After the SDCC tournament yesterday... I'm having doubts Smash 4 will be a good competitive game.

That is the exact mindset we need to have as a community, and as individuals. We'll do what we want and we don't care what others say. On the dot. I think its because of Smash Bros. target audience. I don't care how old anyone is (Well, I can't judge I'm not 18...) Its the way that people...

After the SDCC tournament yesterday... I'm having doubts Smash 4 will be a good competitive game.

Yeah, this is exactly why a lot of other gaming communities hate us. Because they think we hate change and want everything to stay the same, and we think melee is the greatest game ever. I remember hearing M2K say somewhere that he wants the new game as much as we do because playing a game for...

The problem with the release dates.

I'm actually only getting the 3ds version, (not for serious playing) but to find a character that fits my playstyle, and learning some general AT's, learning the engine, and some character specific gimmicks/AT's. I only really want it for the edge it'll give me.

The problem with the release dates.

I agree, except for me I'll be hyped because of the GC controller since I have large hands + a regular 3ds.

The problem with the release dates.

I'm actually glad they're putting it out on the 3ds first. Why? Mainly because I own one at this moment, and with the Wii U's version coming out around the Holiday's it'll likely come as some sort of bundle/special edition type thing. In fact, I'd be happy with a Wii U + Gamecube Controller...

After the SDCC tournament yesterday... I'm having doubts Smash 4 will be a good competitive game.

The main problem with this tournament, is that the Bowser player, was a much better player than the others. None of the players in the tournament were exactly what you'd call the "cream of the crop" players. With the Shiek constantly using Fsmash, it could have been punished by more than a...
