From my understanding, the Amiibo figures can be used in Smash as a custom AI so to speak. I could have a Wii Fit Trainer Amiibo and put it into the game and fight it, but unlike normal AI, the more I fight it the stronger it would become, and supposedly it will learn to counter your strategies...
