Yeah, I remember back during Melee Fox and Falco were dominating until someone figured out you can chain grab them with marth, and people were innovating his playstyle. Well the whole point of doing the ledge hopped illusion is to get away from the ledge and your opponent so he wouldn't be approaching you and if you use the Jump->illusion you can get hit very easily. But then again I have never tried it and maybe it might work for you.

You can do it either way, but yeah you can't just jump and Side B. I think that only works with jump->shine

You're on the ledge, press down and jump and Illusion onto the stage. Use it right after you grab the ledge because if not you're giving your opponent time.

Lol, I remember when Emblem Lord used to give me the advice and I got got a lot better, if it wasn't for you I probably would've given up on Marth. Btw, the 360 community is a lot better (Plus you can play with M2k and DSF)

The reasoning of playing with level 3's is to practice. If you play against level 9's you won't get any better since they are inhuman. I practice on level 3's until some competition comes around and that's when mindgames come in.

i like both Melee and Brawl but Brawl needs more time to develop.
