With those three being the ballot winners... congratulations to their fans! Cloud, Corrine and Bayonetta all look fun and unique, I can't wait til they get released. And to those that aren't happy about the choices, try them out when they're released, you might change your mind!

That is a possibility but it's kind of odd that Square would approach Sakurai and say "Hey! Put Cloud in Smash so we can profit off the sales". It's likely plausible that Sakurai would approach Square and request for Cloud to be in Smash because of the ballot

Who knows when they started working on Cloud. They might have began work on ballot characters when it was still going. And of course he's not "the ballot character" because there isn't just one winner, we might get multiple characters, he's just one of them. To your second point why would Square...

I really had no opinion on the Inklings making it into Smash but now I'm really happy that (if the rumor is true) they made it in. Nintendo has all the right of putting in their most recent and successful ips in Smash

I don't think Stealth_ is a troll. I used to browse GFAQS and everytime a new leak used to pop up, he would immediately claim it was fake or complain how other users were gullible and argue with others because of it.

There is the answer then. If Sakurai saw something in her what makes you think he won't consider her again? She had a model and might have had a moveset left over from Brawl's development. I would love to see both K. Rool & Dixie since they both have popularity, they both have moveset potential...

Relevancy makes her more likely Not in the Ice Climbers sense. She would've been able to swap out with Diddy and vise-versa during battle. What would the point of the mechanic be if they had the same moveset?

Just clarify i'm not saying Dixie would be a clone. Sakurai and the team can use assets from Diddy and start off from there. And since we know she was planned for Brawl, Sakurai might have had some ideas for her and could just reuse them again

I never said Dixie is more likely than anyone. I said she's the most likely candidate of the two. And yes in terms of popularity, K. Rool has the edge over Dixie
