There are some people that haven't had an issue with it though, so I didn't think it was that big a deal. But I'll see how long it takes for people to get annoyed by this as well, and then I'll probably switch to Red or something.

I had wanted to convince you to come to AiB too, but I guess that won't happen. We're just not happy about the actual advance of Link's metagame on SWF now. We wanted to send SWF a message - "we'll bring our metagame back that you so apparently desire as soon as you start treating us with respect." Well, with the metagame being back on track with Havokk, that message sort of fades from existence.

Yeah, it's a lengthy story indeed. Now, the reason we Link mains on AiB don't want the metagame to develop on SWF is because if it did, nothing would change. The policies would remain the same, the rules would remain the same, and the Link boards would still be oppressed. I can name countless active threads that are about specific people - are they closed? No; the admins legitimately just hate the old Links. One user was permabanned....in the midst of already being banned. When he went to Forum Disputes, he was flamed by the admins. Another user was banned for a single post. Buzz even tried to get us kicked off the AiB Link boards - he said he's going to talk to neal about how out of control we are, and now we're being watched thanks to him.

Looking at the situation from our standpoint, it looks the same. Havokk is running a dictatorship, tick him off and boom, infraction. In a free spirited community, that just doesn't work. Havokk never really liked us to begin with, because he'd post and make topics that were old at the time.

"Ways to easily set up jab locks" - it was known.

"The BACL" - probably one of his few legit threads.

"DACIT == bombslide" - ok, so he gave a new name to bombsliding. Big deal. It was considered spam and closed.

I mean really, he got ticked at us for that and left. Well, what were we supposed to do, those threads weren't exactly productive.

In short, the old Links are waiting for a mod who can let them be as they are now, which basically means let them have a tier list thread, since all the other threads they have are legal. And the rules state "a thread about an individual is not allowed." It never says anything about a thread being about a group or community as a whole.

As for the bias thing with policies and the old Links wanting no activity - you need to hear the story before you can understand my, and a lot of the old gen's, viewpoint.

Meh, I'm one of those 'old gen' Links. I'm just against the whole thing - at first I was happy Havokk was modded because finally, the Link boards get a mod. But now I'm reconsidering, since I'm not a fan of how he runs them - as a dictatorship. I was once considered to mod those boards, and personally, if I were a mod, I wouldn't threaten with infractions with every post I make. I'm not only talking about that incurable guy, I'm saying in general; his policies are biased. Anything he doesn't like = infract, not even a warning. History in general shows us that being kind to subjects results in a better relationship and better progress than a dictatorship does.

Despite being a Sheik main, incurable is someone I would agree with. Why split the community further? Why not just discuss everything on AiB as a whole? If you feel that I'm biased against SWF - I am. But unlike most other Link mains, who will tell you "SWF gayed us" I can actually explain why, if you'd like. It is rather lengthy, and would have to be sent via PM because I'm not comfortable posting it publicly. It's up to you if you'd like to read it.
