Looking for an online training partner

yeah i'm already looking around the forum for guides n stuff. i know a bit about this game already but thank you. i've just been practicing pivots since i posted last, playing around with my controller's deadzone, etc etc. i'll add you on skype. i have it open constantly so it's just easier for me.

Looking for an online training partner

kinda hesitant to post but... i really want to get back into this game. i was never that great but i'd like to think my neutral wasn't complete **** lol. i'm going to start grinding tech skill (never actually got used to this PC controller honestly) and playing randoms online but it would be...

    Project M 3.5 Released!

so you can't enable it at all? that seems reeeeaaaaally counter intuitive but alright.

Could wavedashing be theoretically replaced with something equally functional but easier?

to everyone saying this would actually change the effect of wavedashing: you alter the distance with the joystick and you can still triangle jump/waveland classically. or i missed something somewhere. we're talking about a wavedash macro basically, right?

Would it be for the good of the game for spacies to get more nerfs?

this might sound silly but, let him combo you around and then retaliate afterwards? like, idk, a fighting game or something. that came out a lot more rude than i wanted it to but i stand by what i said. =T

Could wavedashing be theoretically replaced with something equally functional but easier?

a macro would be nice but i don't really care. start thinking of this game as "project: if it ain't broke don't fix it". and that's why this, that and the other thing.

    Project M 3.5 Released!

idk where to post this but i'm sure as hell not making a new thread. :v so debug mode... i can already see how that's going to kill every casual match i play. consider the following: me and my buddy are playing a game of PM, wherein i am of course melting the poor sod's humanesque face with...

    PPMD's opinion on PM

not trying to sound rude but it never ceases to surprise me just how quickly this community can change its tune. several months ago i couldn't find more than a handful of people complaining about PMs recoveries and now there's an entire thread full of them. hopefully we can get some recovery...

    Frame Data Question about shields

shield SDI does exist and you can use it to punish certain attacks more effectively. for example i've seen a sheik player shield SDI towards the attacker so that the sheik player could punish the attack with fair OoS. here is a video i found on the subject after a quick google search...

Good controllers for people with small hands?

when i was a kid i had a madcatz micro controller for the gamecube. it was extremely comfortable in my hands but of course the buttons and such began to wear down rather quickly. however if you're savvy i'd imagine that you could simply replace many of the pieces with higher quality ones...

Wavedashing and L-cancel with a nunchuk?

i play with the gcc but i find the nunchuck to be very comfortable to perform all tech honestly. with a decent button layout i managed to switch to the nunchuck without any difficulty at all. i don't think there's any real reason to switch if you're already comfortable with the nunchuck and i...

Wavedashing and L-cancel with a nunchuk?

when i use the nunchuck controller i have jump set to dpad down. i find it a lot easier to perform SHFFL and wavedashes when i have two fingers involved. i think most people map the dpad to smashes but dairs are easy enough to do without a macro for me so it's not very important to have one. if...

What are some tricks to managing your character's direction?

this might be obvious to you but i see in your signature you play charizard. characters with multiple mid air jumps can change their direction by jumping and holding left or right on the control stick. it's vital that you learn how to change direction *and* how to prevent yourself from changing...

    kirby's design

in 64 and brawl this isn't that hard to deal with. utilt's disjoint clanks projectiles, you can duck > wd under lasers and other horizontal projectile and you can copy their project and start a hadouken war. i said adequate, not good. not everybody needs an amazing recovery. most of the time...

    kirby's design

i just want to share some thoughts i've had about this topic since kirby was first released. i'm not advocating any sort of change, as always. i'd like to get your thoughts on this subject and i welcome anybody to call me out on any nonsense i mistakenly post in ignorance. i've never played...
