Well, there was a tournament in Danville, WV, on 03/03/07. I recorded and uploaded the finals and will most likely continue to do that for future tournaments there. Hopefully this will help the smash-scene in WV.

Your tech. skill was very good w/ Fox and Falco.....but I thought you waveshined a bit too much and usually got punished for it.

Mike's tech. skill was nowhere near your level but his mindgames were better, especially with Fox which allowed him to beat you pretty easily in that ditto. I don't know what he was thinking going Sheik twice or what was up with all the d-throws instead of u-throws. If he replaced some of those dash attacks with n-airs, did more u-throws, and stopped with the falling u-air spam, he'd be much more effective.

Yeah, I tend to waveshine after pretty much all of my shines. There just always seems to be something to follow it up with. For example, I waveshine->jab a lot against players like fox/falco and then either Thunder's combo or wavedash->shield grab. For other characters I'll waveshine and then follow up with multiple waveshines, drillshines, upsmashes, or grabs . But you're definitely right about that. I should probably mix it up with some aerials immediately after it, or waveland or something.

Edit: upon looking at my vids again, you probably meant when i didn't even hit the shine in the first place. In that case, you're totally right. I'll watch out for that. Thanks.

But yeah, I have some sort of problem with Fox dittos. That's why I picked Falco for the last game. I had a feeling he'd go with Fox (and why not, after he won in his last fox game), and I like Falco vs. Fox much better. I'll probably practice that match up a bit.

Anyway, I'll have to contact those people who live in WV. I knew Kaotical lived there, but I thought he moved. Are there any vids of those players? I checked youtube but couldn't come across any. I'd like to gauge their skill, and I definitely hope they can attend future tournaments there.

Yeah, Leesburg is probably too far too attend tournaments there regularly, but I'm hoping that if attendance increases, we can get some out-of-staters. Maybe sometime we'll throw together a pretty big-sized tournament. Who knows though.

I'd definitely like to see my boy G-Reg attend sometime. Even though that means I won't win 1st. At least my falcon will instantly become pro.
