Hello everyone! I'm currently entered into a writing competition for Video Games done by the Nerdist.

This is a book inspired by The Art of War by Sun Tzu, many of the principles are applicable to competitive games and what better subject than to cover Melee?

https://www.inkshares.com/books/the-art-of-melee-bfc4bb

It's only at the introduction so far, haven't edited it yet it's a draft waiting to be turned into a full book however if it receives enough support.

I don't ever ask anyone for anything, but please, please, please give it a look. Tweet it, do whatever and if you can't I understand, thanks for even getting this far into the post.

What I would like to get if possible:
  1. Help from the community
  2. Philosophy on various match-ups
  3. And a passionate following.
I think the third one will be the hardest, but still.

Any critiques or questions ask at https://twitter.com/WrittenUnknown

Thanks guys if you read this!

Talk about mindsets, all the options in general especially regarding movement, learning how apply tech skills correctly vs blindly using it, breaking pleatus, and how in melee there is no "Best answer" Even if you map out all the options and possible outcomes, there playstyle might counter and if you choose the best option every time, you become predictable. It would also be cool if you mention how nuanced and complex the game's fundamentals are (like the neutral and exploiting your opponent's habits) and how you have to be aware of your own habit (a lot of which your unaware of) before you can figure out your opponent's.

Yes these are all plans that I have for the book once I start going into it. These are good reminders. Thanks! Any further inclusions and thoughts that might want to be included would be a great help.
