well it's honestly kind of a stretch to just call them a hip hop group and in my experience a lot of people who mainly listen to hip hop dislike it because so much of it is in direct opposition of what the genre is usually "about".

buuuut, there's no other more appropriate thread on this site for them so hey

imo they're definitely hip hop, they just don't really fit into any subset of hiphop right now. expect copycats very soon

After crafting my work these past 4 years of life I have finally decided to release my best work. Along the way there have been bumps and bruises but no person, no object, no paranormal being stood in my way. Comic Book Superheroes isn't just some group. This is a brotherhood. I started this art when I was in 5th grade. Now I'm in my first year of college and I have the world in front of me. It doesn't matter if I make it in the game. rick ross, wale, meek mills, and machine gun kelly are coming out to my city. i think i definitely wanna check that out. last time i saw rick ross it was a blast. his music was made for shows.


i have really been neglecting music lately, which is a damn shame. since last night though ive been listening to this song (and the instrumental) nonstop.

I think it's a sort of Gorillaz deal. Lots of contributors.

I can pick out pieces from duality that sound like flylo, earl, Tyler, and even a little left brain. I also get a huge Aesop vibe from it, but I don't think he's contributed.

either way duality is really ****in dope and the video blew my mind.

so apparently its definitely not tyler. in fact this guy isnt in OF at all. however, earl is featured in this song, as is flylo, and other producers involved in this project include just blaze, clams casino, madlib, and tnght, whoever the **** that is.


but... im convinced this is tyler. it sounds exactly like him. it sounds exactly like his style.

this video just keeps getting better.

what a great ending. i am thoroughly impressed and satisfied.

earl/flylo feature was already known about, "between friends" has been out for awhile now

also it's very likely that he's just saying he's not in OF. relatively unknown guy hops on a track with earl, a member of OF, when OF members rarely do collabs with other non OF members.

either way I don't really care who he is I just want more music

also TNGHT is made up of HudMo and Lunice, two very reputable producers. they both produce beats and are also the purveyors of the outbreak of "trap" music in the EDM scene

Joey BadA$$'s mixtape is amazing to me. Dude can really spit. Really feel like dude's ahead of his time. Internal rhymes out the ***, lyrical, and his beats and smooth and soothing. Check him out if possible. Definitely shouldn't disappoint you.

Also, I just recently started going DEEP into the catalog of Charles Hamilton. I've always known he was nice from listening to Pink Lavalamp, Perfect Life, Normalcy, and It's Charles Hamilton. But this man was a ****ing monster! What the **** happened to him? (Rhetorical question) I mean seriously this guy had it all in front of him.

As I look at his music and all of his "Events" it's just so depressing to see how this man went from being on top of the world with Brooklyn Girls being a hit, Signed with Interscope, and XXL Freshman Cover. This man used to be homeless for god's sake! Then he got dropped, accused of stealing beats, punched and he just made it worse by constantly going in and out of retirement, going to a mental institution, and going to jail. I hope this man can rebound.

He still puts out quality music but damn...

went to my first concert ever yesterday to see hudmo / lunice (TNGHT) and kanye made a surprise appearance.

also +1 on the bada$$. definitely give him a listen. my avatar on the boards is usually what im listening to and mines has stood the same for a while.
