I'm posting this in a few places because I have no idea who is going to be able to help me with this, but here's the issue:

I'm playing Brawl on a Wii U with Wii Remote Plus controllers. If I hold a direction it will not continually hold it. It's as though it's pressing it repeatedly really fast, or holding it and letting go briefly, then holding again. For example, if I try to crouch, my character will stay crouched for a random amount of time (5-10 seconds usually), briefly stand up and immediately crouch again.

Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening and how I can fix it?

I'm not the only one with this issue:

Aaahh this one. Yeah I had this problem too. I figured out what it was. It's simple, and you're not going to like the answer: The Wii controllers interfere with certain types of wifi-internets. Meaning that button inputs will become.... weird. I play smash on my Wii U from time to time and also encounter this problem since I love in an apartment building with thousands of Wifis around me.

This can't be fixed. Sorry. All you can do is get another type of router and hope it doesn't interfere or you could turn the wifi off.

....

Man the Wii controllers suck :/
