Wii freezing when attempting to load Project M

I just got a 2g SD card so I can play Project M. I downloaded the zip and extracted the files to my SD card. When I go to the stage builder, my wii freezes. Is this a result of a file missing or something else? I noticed in the installation videos I've seen on Youtube that there is usually a background.png file in the zip file, but there wasn't one when I downloaded my copy. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Does the same thing to me sometimes. Are you running it on a wii or wiii u?

Yeah I got stage Builder and it just freezes any help would be great
