Whose male voices do you like better?

Since male voices are much more popular than female voices from what I've heard. I decided to make a poll between Male Robin and Male Corrin. Personally though, I prefer Male Corrin, because I really like his spunky attitude, and I'm a big fan of Cam Clarke as a voice actor, but David Vincent is ok too, though I don't care for Male Robin's voice to be honest. Who do you guys prefer though?

I usually play as him instead of Fem Robin in the rare occasion I play the character.

Easily Male Robin for me. Hearing that Robin speak always reminds of Jin Kisaragi from the BlazBlue games; after all, they are both voiced by David Vincent. I'm a BlazBlue fan myself, so that's why I'm more biased for Robin here.

Though I do think Male Corrin has a pretty good voice too. Cam Clarke is pretty cool, especially since he also voiced Liquid Snake.

I agree about Female Corrin being very annoying, but not Female Robin. I really like her voice, but people have different pre- ferences. Please don't flame me for liking that voice. I personally find that Male Robin sounds more annoying than F-Robin.

When you personally get called gay for playing Male Robin/Villager/Corrin/Wii Fit Trainer, then you may understand my viewpoint. Plus there's a male vs female robin poll on this very site where Female Robin heavily outweighs Male, so there's a counterpoint for you.

I will respect your opinion nonetheless. Like I said, I dont have anything against Female Robin regardless, I just have my preference.

Female Robin was only more popular due to her looks alone. People found that Male Robin looks more boring than her.

A friend of mine from Art School tells me that he'll always play as a female character because "he'd rather look at a girl's arse than a dude's". Its mostly projections of what was supposed to just be simple preference, and just like anything else on the internet, said preferences become some kind of enforced law by those who feel strongly about it. No, it's all good. I don't actually hate Male Robin, because the voice actor, David Vincent, at least put his work just as hard for Robin as Lauren Landa, who is one of my personal favorite voice actresses. But I can't say one voice actor is TRULY better than the other.

True, to be honest though, a large part of why I play male Robin is that I ship him and Lucina. There I said it.

I agree with you. I personally think that Cam Clarke fits as Corrin pretty well, even though Cam Clarke is over 50.

I do, I'm just picking the lesser of two evils. It's really the "I win!" quote of male Corrin that sounds terrible, but it is just that terrible.

Odd, I've always found that a good majority of people like the female variation for...well...everything. Not just with these two and not just meaning their voices, but everything about the female variation has always gotten picked over the male variation from my perspective. It's partially why everyone keeps wanting Linkle as an alternate: so they can ignore Link, I guess. Anyways, I prefer male Robin's voice, not because I don't like male Corrin's voice, but because it sounds a lot smoother and calmer. The voice of a tactician.

Most people I know that use Robin like using the female alt because, well... they think she is cute. I'll admit her voice does help a lot.

Calm expression, gentle eyes, soft face, and a (relatively) soothing calm voice. That's why I see most people picking her up instead of male Robin.
In this way, this representation is very accurate to the Robin we see in Fire Emblem: Awakening. No matter the situation, Robin was always very calm, he/she would never lose his temper and he/she was a pretty gentle and sociable person (He had a lot of support conversations, probably the most out of every character, and Robin can marry the widest array of characters, too).
So in this sense, they did nail it.

I would also like to note that male and female Robin seem to have been given slightly different personalities. Female Robin seems generally more "bubbly" for lack of a better word while male Robin seems a bit more serious. This is most prevalent in their victory animations where the girl smiles more and the guy tends to keep a straight face.

I like both male (standard) and female (pink hair) Villager. I don't really have a preference though, I just go by a case-by-case basis. In Smash, both female Corrin and female Robin look better and sound better (imo) compared to their male counterparts.

Personally, I find that Female Corrin annoys me more, but I'm just not a fan of the voice actress of her, at least compared to Cam Clarke who I'm a big fan of. I agree on Female Robin though, because I love Lauren Landa as well. She's one of my favorite actors.

Yes, I do. Female Robin has more emotion and anyone is better than Male Corrin IMO.

One of my issues with male Corrin's voice is that I don't think his bishōnen (pretty boy) appearance fits his somewhat deep voice. With Marth, his voice fits his appearance better... Though I still prefer Lucina's voice, so if Lucina were a costume change, I'd probably play her over Marth. It's not that I always prefer females though, I'd take many male character's voices over Peach's voice, for instance. For these two characters, I've given both male and female forms a shot and concluded that I prefer female Corrin and Robin. If people prefer male Corrin and Robin, that's fine too.

Male Corrin vs male Robin? I think male Robin's voice fits the character better than male Corrin's, so I'll go with male Robin.
