I plan on sticking with the Original 3DS. I don't tend to upgrade systems unless the older one breaks. Hopefully that won't happen. If, I do ever upgrade, I'm going with the XL.

I'm sticking with the original 3DS until the day it breaks. Until then, I'll get a 3DS XL.

I'm sticking with my normal 3DS for now.
There's nothing wrong with it and I don't see the point in upgrading just for the sole purpose of a bigger screen.

As much as I like the feel of the 3DSXL, I can't afford to upgrade to one, so regular black 3DS it is for me.

I'm thinking of upgrading to an XL because I have the original, launch 3DS and I have big hands. They seriously get uncomfortable and numb after playing on the 3ds for a while.

An XL could resolve the issue, but I just have to find the right time to upgrade. Till then, the reg 3DS is the go to.

Playing it on a 2DS would be stupid, and I want a bigger screen. I prefer playing it on the XL.

I got a gold XL in a bundle to begin with so I'm going with that - and glad for it. :) I love this thing.

Sticking with my original model, don't plan on upgrading any time soon. I've never found it uncomfortable, but it will be interesting to see how it fares with Smash.

I still have an Ambassador 3DS, but I'll likely get a Smash XL if they make one, or at least a refurbished XL.

3DS XL for sure. I'm so used to the bigger screen that the original 3DS feels super tiny, even though I was fine with it before.

This game was built for the XL, all the demo units were XL and I was afraid that the game was going to be designed entirely around that model. So I upgraded just last week. I got the gold Zelda one 2nd hand. I don't notice any loss of image quality whatsoever.

I plan to sell my old, not-quite-ambassador 3DS to make back most of the cost.

3DS XL is my choice since I traded in my old. My old 3DS since it felt way to cramped for my fingers and I love how big the XL is it fits in all my pockets :D

I heard people that the game had very tiny characters sometimes on the XL.....

I guess I will have no choice but to upgrade.

For anybody who is stuck with/prefers a 2DS, I would suggest this add-on. My brother has a 2DS and he recently bought this to help with the comfort, he swears by it.

I'll keep using my XL until it inevitably starts randomly switching itself off like the last 2 did, then Nintendo will call me a liar, and I'll buy a regular 3DS because I'm sick of fighting about it.

That was my line of thinking, too. Nothing wrong with it. I just had a chance to upgrade for cheap and took it.

I got this Walmart bundle that came with the Mario & Luigi design 3DS XL, 4GB SD card, "M&L: Dream Team" pre-installed game, a carrying case to replace my old one and a $40 gift card, all for $200. Which I paid for with my Bill Me Later credit, meaning I don't have to pay it off for six months.

If you're interested in upgrading, keep looking for online bundles and trade-in offers. Sometimes companies will have absurdly good deals available, and you can even sell your old 3DS yourself to make back a lot of the money you spent.
Staindgrey I got the same exact 3DS XL you got lol. I just wanted a normal 3DS XL, but when I saw the M and L Dream Team bundle, it made it even better, because of the design on the 3DS and the game that comes with it that I already beat.

XL for me, it's just all in all a better version of the 3DS, in my opinion.

Sticking with my original ambassador one unless I start getting major problems or if I have a really hard time seeing the characters, which will make me switch to an XL. The rubber thing on my circle pad fell off, but whatever.

I have both an original 3DS in blue, and an XL in Red. Needless to say the original never gets used... I occasionally set its region settings to crazy things to fill up my StreetPass map lol. I'll be using the XL obviously. :)

I have the original, but I'm contemplating an upgrade. I might wait until I play the game before I decide though.

Gonna be using a 2DS for Smash because holy gosh dang are the shoulder buttons great. The lack of a Circle Pad Pro is a bit of a bummer, but it's nothing that I can't work around.

Normal 3ds. Mainly because I think its better for games such as smash brothers where your constantly mashing the buttons. I wouldn't want to wear down the buttons on my XL.

For now, I'll use my original 3DS to play the game. Maybe after that, I'll upgrade to the XL, which is much more comfortable and nicer.

Probably sticking with my original. Though I aggree the XL is the better system, I like the smaller form factor and the fact it fits in my pocket (not like I play it outside LOL). Oh and it's Nintendo we're talking about. They'll probably release a newer model this year or the beginning of next year.

I'll give it a whirl on my red 3DS. However, if my hands cramp up or I feel the characters are a bit small for me to see, I'll definitely upgrade to an XL.
