The Picto is taken from Pictograph: Pictography is a form of writing which uses representational, pictorial drawings. It is a basis of cuneiform and, to some extent, hieroglyphic writing, which uses drawings also as phonetic letters or determinative rhymes.

You are using these to chat. Rather than call it Pictographychat, it's just Pictochat.

Or alternativly it could be called that because you are using a Pic to chat.
