What does the Namco-Bandai inclusion mean for the SSB4 roster?

We've been handed a wild card, ladies and gentlemen. Its not just having 3rd party support in the game anymore, this game is now being made WITH a 3rd party. Namco-Bandai...as I'm sure you've all heard. So what does this mean?

Brawl was the first game to embrace 3rd parties, with character appearances from Snake and Sonic, plus all their buddies. So everyone naturally assumed that SSB4 would include a couple more 3rd party characters that well represented Nintendo, like Ryu, Megaman, etc.
I personally think it means that not one, not two, but a few Namco franchises will be represented in this game. Ones that come to mind to me are Pacman, Tekken, Soul Caliber, and the Tales series.
But does this mean that other 3rd parties, such as Konami, Sega, and Capcom are now on the backseat? I know I was certainly hoping for Megaman, Ryu, and Simon Belmont myself, who all deserve to be in a Nintendo-based fighting game, as Megaman, Street Fighter and Castlevania all share homes on Nintendo systems, especially the NES and SNES era.

I guess my question is 2 things -
1. What characters from Namco be represented in the roster?
2. What other 3rd parties will contribute characters?

My predictions are that we're guaranteed a Namco-Bandai character. That said, if Sakurai still insists on a one-character-per-third-party limit, we could (hopefully) still get more than one Namco-Bandai character on the strength that Namco-Bandai is developing the game, and thus should be entitled to more reps from their franchises.

lordvaati created a similar thread to this, if you want to discuss more about that there:

2.-There is a game already at developement called Project X Zone. This game features tons of characters from Namco-Bandai, Sega and Capcom. This is a fact of the good relationship between these companies. I think this could help for 3rd party characters in SSB4 from Capcom and Sega. Ryu... cof cof

First: Seriously, stop posting wishlists in someone else's topics.

Second: Naruto & Goku are not Namco original characters. Namco simply has a temporary license with anything anime related.

Third: Project X Zone will not affect Sm4sh in any shape or form, mainly because Nintendo Is Not Participating In That Game. If SEGA or Capcom wants to participate, they need to contact Nintendo themselves, not from an unrelated crossover.

Lets not forget we have two different games in development here!
The belmont clan stands a good chance because Castlevania is being developed on the 3ds, this means its a possible 3rd party inclusion (mostly just for the 3ds game though)
as for megaman, I wouldn't count the blue bomber out yet. He probably has more 3rd party support then anyone else.
