Wave landing with rob?

Can I get some pointers? I find it very hard to do, ive only sucsessfully done it around 5 times or so.

I can do it with Mario, luigi, ness, bowser, but not rob. Is there something different I'm missing?

Probably missing the R/L button
It's the big grey ones that poke out the top of the controller, hard to miss

If you mean wavedashing ROB has a jumpsquat of 5 frames, so you need to do it a little bit slower than average, like Falco if you are a Melee player
Otherwise ROB's floatiness might be a bit deceiving if you actually want to waveland and you might do it too early or late. Also look at when you land and how landing detection might deceive you.
Besides that it is not different from any other character

I've been doing it just a little too early. His body clips through the platform a little bit, I'll just practice a lot. Thanks for the actual help.

Make sure to be holding your control stick diagonally in the direction you want to land as well.

If you already knew those things then why did you need to ask?
You couldn't figure out it had a different timing by yourself? EVERY character has a different timing.

I know this, I stated I could do it with multiple others characters, but not rob. I couldn't get rob for the life of me, so I was curios if something was different with rob. Even though I stated that I could do it with different characters, you still told me to press the button, and not give me the help I requested.

his entire body has to be above the platform, this threw me off at first as well
the instant that happens though, go for it.
