Just play through the campaigns. They actually teach you how how each race works pretty well IMO.I just recently bought a copy of the WC3 battlechest if you'd like to play sometime? I am relatively new to WC having only played off a flash drive for LAN parties at school. So...... I'm a noob lol.

That is true, but playing the campaign does help you get the ropes IMO.I would argue that the campaign plays less like a real online match than in most rts titles. Having to level up your hero(s) from lvl1 each game and managing effective creeping/hindering theirs is one of the most important aspects of a 1v1 and is totally absent from campaign missions. That said, the game is sweet. I was always sort of sad about how dota for the most part eclipsed the actual game it was built off of.
