(Dallas) June 5, 2007 – The clock has struck midnight and the wait is over! The Midnight Gaming Championship cities and games have been announced for the 2007 season! Leading the line-up for console gaming is the popular NBA 2K7 by 2K sports, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (GRAW2) by Ubisoft and Super Smash Bros. Melee from Nintendo. Want more than just console gaming? HeadPlay - powered by Nvidia - is giving gamers the chance to compete in GTR2 FIA GT Racing Game published by Viva Media, the first ever 3-D racing competition, and I-play is giving gamers the chance to compete in the first ever mainstream mobile tournament with The Fast and the Furious: Fugitive, making a total of five games played during 52 events in 19 cities across the U.S.

Gamers still have a chance to voice their opinion on four additional stops for the Midnight Gaming Championship. Gamers can log on to www.midnightgamingchampionship.com and vote to have the MGC tournament brought to their city in September. Voting continues through August 1st.

“We’re thrilled that GRAW 2 will be a part of the 2007 Midnight Gaming Championship this year, and that we’ll be making history with the first-ever 3-D mobile gaming tournament, courtesy of Headplay – powered by Nvidia,” said Jeff Gross, president, Video Gamers League. “With NBA 2K7 by 2K sports and Super Smash Bros. Melee joining the line-up, along with I-play’s mobile gaming tournament, Midnight Gaming Championship will be among the top U.S. video gaming tournaments of the summer.”

In addition, new partners have signed up to bring more prizes and excitement to this year’s tournament. Joining the midnight crew are Coke Zero , GameznFlix , an online provider of DVD movies and games, 2K Sports, Ubisoft , Nintendo, Konami and Spike TV.

Among the prizes gamers will be competing for will be cash, free food, a three month, three-out membership to GameZnFlix, a one-year subscription to Electronic Gaming Monthly and round trip airfare to Dallas with one-night hotel stay for the grand championship tournament held in October.

It's in multiple cities and the last four cities depend on your vote. So vote your city to get it another Major Tournament! Los Angeles is 7th right so it needs more votes to be a used city. San Fransisco/Oakland/San Jose is 3rd already so if it stays its place it's fine.

Vote Portland, OR.

It's the highest for us Northwesterners and would accomodate WA/ID/OR and NorCal if they wanted to come.

Ohio is dumb.
