If Pokemon trainer could make it, who's to say these two are out of the question?
Smash already has experience with whip wielding fighters, and Zero Suit Samus has proven to be a legitimate character. At first i was joking, but upon inspection, i realized this is actually feasible!
Everyone's initial thought on a character like Lunick/Solana is that they would flail their Capture Stylus everywhere like Sheik's eternally despised chain, but we need to take cues from Nintendo here. Almost all of the games characters operate in a fighting games best representation of their abilities from their own world. For example, Link spaces his foes out because in The Legend of Zelda, you almost never approach your opponent head on. Sonic confounds with speed for obvious reasons, so what does Pokemon Ranger do?
Each attack would require the manipulation of his Stylus in some fashion, and the player is forced to create mobile, inventive combos that create loops around their opponent.
Imagine Palutena's F-tilt. if the head of her staff was the spinner of Lunick's stylus, he could circle his opponent with it 3 times. the increased hitstun on all his attacks sould allow for a follow up. His down special would be Plusle or Minun, stunning his opponent long enough to allow for more combos.
He would be tricky, and has almost no chance of making it, but isn't it an awesome concept?
