Up-b from below ledge into side of stage

So i've noticed when you up b upwards into the side of the stage it will stop your foward momentum where you hit the side of the stage, thus grabbing edge if you are near enough to it. (Think fox riding the wall with his up-b, but pika just stops right where you come in contact with the stage) Obviously pika's hurtbox gets extended massively since it isn't snapping to the ledge as if you were going at a downward angle, but are these upward angles viable?

They're usually safe, just make sure your opponant isn't actively putting out hitboxes on the ledge.
