Tucson, AZ Social/Rankings Thread (Updated 5/7/10!)

(Note: This ranking list contains ALL of our players in rough order of skill level, not our 12 best players. These are only the players of the city of Tucson, AZ and do not include Phoenix or other Arizona players)

Took some other people off the rankings for inactivity or whatever
Kyle moved up like crazy, Rob moved up like crazy. Otherwise it's still the same

*Forward has a permanent spot at 0 since NO ONE here will beat him ever. Isai rank.


For the list created 4-28-10, Kyle and I used everyone's lists, as well as the results from the last tournament, but results from that were not TOO focused on. However, for next update we'll look at this past tournament's results more closely (that way we can take later tournaments into consideration to show consistency and ****)


For the list created 12-19-09, Spencer, Kyle, and me each created a list of how we think the players should be ranked. The lists were then put side by side to be compared. Places 0-3 were consistent on all 3, as well as 13 and 14. Ranks 4-8 varied the most between the three lists. After points were given, there were ties between Spencer (Agent Iron) and Nicknyte, as well as a tie between Tommy and Vash. Dreadly Falco-based Rubyiris played tie breaker and helped decide the order of the ties. List will be updated probably january or february?



Also EVERYONE SUBSCRIBE and use this thread for announcing smashfests, talking **** to eachother, talking about how amazing Plenip is, how you'll never beat Sean, ever, ever, ever, etc. This is the TUCSON SOCIAL THREAD.

And holy **** Tommy 50 minutes north of Tucson Mall, that is quite the inconvenient drive. Is there anything at all over there that somebody would enjoy stopping by after they drop you off? Marana's significantly closer than your house. Your house isn't even on the way to Phoenix. The bus doesn't come into Tucson from there. No high speed internet available out there, I'm guessing that also means there is very limited wireless phone service too... I feel sorry for you Tommy. But at the same time I get the feeling a neighborhood that isolated must be affluent.

I'm not sure about the wireless phone service since i don't have a cell phone, but I imagine it's pretty ******.

I live in the most inconvenient place in AZ. There is a way to get to Phoenix from my house, but it's the verrry long, verrry scenic route, it would probably be faster if I went around onto the I-10.

No, it's not really affluent at all, out of the probably 25 homes out here, only 2 of them aren't mobile homes.

Enjoy stopping at, I assume you mean to eat? On the way back there is a McDonald's, 2 Burger King's, an Arby's, a Carl's Jr, and restaurant's. But the closest place to get food outside of my house is probably 20min away, and I don't drive.

Where I live doesn't even have a real name, people just call it "That road on the left right after mile marker 100 on Highway 79"

Yup, I live in a s*** hole. It takes so long to watch vids on youtube, and to download music or porn.

I personally feel that Ryan is better than Rusty. He's closer to Alex than he is to Rusty. He's less active, so I understand why he's lower.

Kyle's characters should probably be Marth/Roy/Random, similar to Jackie. He plays like everyone in the game, but obviously not as well as Jackie. =x

Ryan should also be Falcon/Shiek.

Just my final 2 cents.

Kinda curious who all voted me over Forrest. Rusty and Chris voted as Forrest over myself. Did you go by tournament results, or did you ask Sean/Spencer about it later on?

It's not really that important, lol. I'm pretty sure Forrest is going to be challenging me alot.

Something that's pretty funny is that Forrest is at the same status as Elvis. There are alot of players in AZ that are roughly the same level as us, but can't beat Forrest. It's pretty funny watching Forrest sandbag against just about everyone below Elvis, and sandbag against everyone in S.V. who isn't named Timmy or Jeff, then promptly 2-0ing, or 3-0ing Forrest right after. =D

I am flying into Tucson on Saturday morning and I could use a ride from the airport to the PnT tournament. Jeyfour said he could give a ride but it is WAY out of his way and I feel bad to have him do that (after picking up 2 people on the opposite side). Can anyone in Tucson help a Dook out?

Ryan can play rusty for the spot then or if more people consider him better then maybe there will be a change but for now it is rusty then ryan.

Kyle does play roy and other characters however his Marth has the most potential unlike with Jackie who can play just about anyone and **** just about everyone.

I can catch a flight that lands in Tucson at 8:24 AM on Saturday morning and just hang out there until you guys could pick me up.

When do these usually finish? Because the last flight back to Phoenix leaves around 6:15 PM. Could we make it back in time for that? (I assume the airport there is pretty small. So i could show up around 5:30-45 PM at the LATEST. Or is that not that realistic/likely to happen.

Let me know and be brutally honest.
