I find it humorous that people are already pulling the "you're denial" card and jumping the gun. Because that worked out so well with all the other "legit" leaks in the past.

On the flip side, people are already crying it's fake because it doesn't have the character they want on it.

Everyone seems to be jumping the gun here. From what I've seen from the evidence on both sides the answer isn't as black and white as people may think. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if this became real. But I'm going to sit back for a while before jumping into this.

Anyways, to keep this slightly Ridley related, I'm calling bets on nothing special for today's PoTD. Not even Metroid related.

If only everybody would understand that. Like you, I'm simply just curious about this leak as there's a chance it's fake or real. And like you said, it could be real, didn't the leaker say something about not unlocking everything anyway? We'll just have to wait about 3 weeks to see.

There is the chance that this is not the full roster and that some chsracters have yet to be unlocked, like when the CSS was leaked in Brawl without Wolf. ESRB doesn't play games. Sakurai would make the total game as amazing as possible, he said they had no plans, but that can chane. Why would an ESRB guy have access to dlc information?

If they dont get a dime of our money they may change their tunes, if this true we may be able to force good characters in through DLC via boycott. Because this roster is awful and wreaks of scummy marketing tactics

I guess that's fair. On another note: I'm sure we'll get at least one more character reveal before Japan launch. Next character to be revealed will pretty much decide if this is fact or fake. It's sink or swim time for Smash Bros.

Um, no, he's in, you don't get it. Ridley is 100% confirmed to be in the game. Whether he's playable or not is the question.

The biggest reason I think this leak is fake (like most others) is the lack of Mii Fighters on the select screen. Then it's how some of the character portraits look. Wario, Game and Watch, Ganondorf. Jigglypuff looks derpy.

I assume all leaks are fake until official word. It doesn't matter if it's a dream roster or a "bad" roster as this leak is showing. All fake until confirmed to me.

I just want to point out, the next reveal does not actually confirm or deny the validity of these "leaks", unless a newcomer not included in them is shown. If the next reveal Sakurai had planned was the Duck hunt dog for example( That is almost as bad as Snake), that confirms the dogs playability, but not that the "leak" is valid. Palutena is in the game, but those "leaks" of her were not confirmed because of them, the opposite, in fact.

As such, Ridley does not appear in the image, but then if it is to be taken as legitimate, I doubt that is the full roster, as the characters seem to be aligned more randomly then one would think. That and I don't see Final Destination in the character select. Can someone point out what that, bright pink stage is?

Haven't we been over this before? Those of us stating that Ridley is in are objectively correct. It's only Sakurai that can be wrong in this.
