Female Rapidash = Titania.
Male Rhyperior = Brom.
Male Garchomp = Ike.

I could very easily go on, but I'll spare you all. ^^;

I get the whole Fire Emblem theme and such...but you know, I think Metaknight would have been a much better name for the Garchomp.

EDIT: I mean seriously...it's all just so parallel. <3 We debate whether or not Metaknight should be banned from competitive play just like we debate whether or not Garchomp should be banned from OU.

Can't remember what my other two were or their nicknames. I never really bothered in the games themselves though - the only one I voluntarily gave was to Latios in Emerald, which was PainInAss. In Yellow, one of my friends traded me a Raichu named Evil Moo.

I started nicknaming all my pokemon this time because I thought it might help with the GTS.

Which is why my Pichu is named Sasuke.

Once I got a sandshrew off wi-fi for the sheer purpose it was named Cupcake. But anyway...

I always tend to name my Gyrados 'Masteraqua' for some reason. But my favorite names for any of my pokemon are Tamagotchi the Gliscor and Armageddon the Palkia. Oh yes, and Toad the Polywag. Named it after Toad from the Mario series, don't ask me why, even I don't remember.

Another great pokemon I have is a pokemon I got off the GTS, a Cranidos (now Rampardos) named (.~.) . Decided to just refer to the poor thing as "Smilie". But it's one of my favorite pokemon just because it has a real interesting name.

I usually never nickname my Pokemon, but on XD: Gale of Darkness I made an exception with a lot of formal names.
I'm going off memory here since I never really play the game that much anymore.

I always name my pokemon because I think naming them after well-known anime characters will help me trade them on GTS. And Phoenix Wright is awsome. By the way, why is your Delcatty named rum?

My cat's name is Whiskey(the shelter named him). Named my skitty after an alcoholic drink because my real cat is named after one. Also I caught him on St Patrick's day.

Pikachu = Pui Yiu (Name of a friend. I can't recall what it means, but the Pikachu I have is female and a shiny, and I really, really like it.)
Espeon = Yui (My favourite Japanese artist.)
Togekiss = Tenten (My favourite Naruto character.)
Corsola = Mizuki (Name of my first Japanese friend.)
Ambipom = Toshiyuki (Means alert and happy. I find it describes a Pokemon like Ambipom pretty well.)
Lucario = Shinya (Depending on the kanji, shin means "truth" and ya means "night". My friend Mizuki named him and I liked the name so it stuck.)

This is a favourite Pokemon team, so yeah...>_>

Umbreon (F): Kiku (if I can remember correctly, it means 'fear' in Japanese. Plus, my Umbreon is ALWAYS named Kiku. Always. <.<)

Toxicroak (M): Mancini (named after Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, a boxer who was basically all offense and no defense. Fits my Toxicroak very well, if I must say so)

Pikachu (F): KayLo! (I...probably should have asked permission for this one, but I've never talked to her and thus don't know her. D: I just happened to be spending a lot of my time lurking through the Pikachu boards (I recently decided to get serious in my Brawl playing, and I decided to main Pikachu. ) around the time I caught my Pikachu, and she seemed like she would be perfect to name it after. And...KayLo, if you're not a girl or you find this creepy, then tell me. I'll change it. :\ )

Froslass (F): Shiva (Looking at it always reminded me of the Shiva summon from Final Fantasy, so...yup.)

Probopass (M): Nixon (just look at its ****ing nose. Oddly enough, this has been my most reliable Pokemon so far. )

Tangrowth (M): Mojonbo (I hope I don't have to explain this one...it should be obvious. The other name I was going to use was Cousin It, but this just seems to fit better.)
