Here is the deal: The Megaman series ALWAYS stars Megaman, or a certain Megaman. Except for Megaman Zero, which stars Zero.

Castlevania has multiple stars, like Final Fantasy, and will never have a PC in Brawl. I am a fan of the old Castlevania games, and I've reached that conclusion. Plus Koonami has a rep already in Solid Snake. Nothing against Simon Belmont, but I don't think he is Brawl Playable Character material. Too many Castlevania main characters, in other words. Rayman would be a possibility after Megaman, but he's no icon. And someone absurd would be stupid to waste the spot, seriously. (not a thing against Geno, since he's a Mario character)

For all RMB members. Dont get discouraged. If mm is in, what inafune said is pretty much all he could have said without giving it completely away. Remember how sega dodged the sonic question for awhile? this is no different. notice inafune's joking/sarcastic tone. and if he was being so "direct" like everyone says, why would he mislead us and still say maybe nintendo will contact him before the game is released? he is a game designer, he knows its too late to add a character without another delay.

hold strong my friends, we'll shut the haters up shortly;)

It's not the same thing at all.

Sonic's dodgy response was from a Nintendo of Europe Public Relations specialist that said "That's not in the cards right now," as in "we aren't discussing Brawl right now."

Megaman's response was from the creator of Megaman, and directly said, "Nintendo has not contacted me to put Megaman in Brawl."

Anyone with half a brain could tell you that there is a world of difference.

I'm not a Megaman hater. I just don't like seeing people delude themselves.

Ok get me the source that says: "when we said that not in yada yada yada we REALLY meant that bla bla bla", the cards thing could have been interpretated by anyway, and IGN, who I believed MADE the question, took it as "cant comment about it" in an article long time ago...

ok guys i can give a rough estimate of the recording of he podcast. I got the link ( http://blog.capcom.com/archives/623 ) to submit a question from kotaku.com which posted their article on 12/4/07.

i dont remember exactly when i submitted my question but podcast would have to have been recorded after that since they read my question to inafune.

this further cements my opinion that mm is in because i dont think inafune would mislead us by saying "oh maybe nintendo will hear this podcast and contact me !" he knows how much we want mm in

Mic_128 brought up another interesting point.

even if inafune is telling the truth 100%, Sakurai and his team may have already made mega man and are just waiting to ask permission to use him. so even if inafune isnt dodging, there is still a possibility.

I know none of us true mega man fans are giving up hope until the end

Maybe this post of mine will give you Megafreaks some hope!

<i>I'm not saying he will be in, I DON'T WANT HIM IN, Samus is enough for me. I just am saying this:

1) Inafune could have lied, plus if Megaman X6 was made without his knowledge this could have slipped by as well. If Megaman was in Brawl, they would HAVE to lie about it to keep Capcom from getting more of the 5000 messages a day saying, "is he in Brawl?"

2) Megaman is WAAAAYY to popular to "not have been contacted" like he said, that right there tells me something is up. Also his tone is a little sarcastic/joking for a statement with such serious applications as this. Also how he stated that Brawl is a few months away, but yet says to call him to work something out is also fishy, any game developer KNOWS that a minimum of three months is not NEARLY enought time to develop a character. And for him to say it is just fishy.

3) His statement is released at a time when Megaman is hugely popular, at the forefront of the lists and has been the most predicted character. This seems like a deliberate attempt to try and put the shock factor (if you will) back into Megaman.


Look I am a political analyst (yeah I know one of those boring men in suit and ties) I pick up on things like this, his statement did not make sense, conflicted in several points and the tone made it seem like it was a lie.

But oh well maybe he's not in too.</i>

Well I will leave you Megafreaks alone, just remember, you may be wrong as well and setting yourselves up for a 300 mph drop into concrete. Or you may be right and you all will have the last laughs. Until the 24th.

Well, I'm not enjoying it. Everyone seems to be constantyl arguing the same points over and over again, while its been established that Megaman still has a good chance.
