I'd think it'd be good to team up with Lucas players if we are guaranteed by Nintendo or Sakurai that Ness would be in SSB4 as a PC. But only if Ness is already comfirmed for SSB4 so there is no chance of him getting cut. All the more reason many people on the forums will be wailing and weeping and angry and sad when Ness comes back in SSB4 if there even will be one.

Ness has always been my favorite character from Smash Bros. and always will be! He is the reason I bought and played Mother 1+2 and Mother 3. I even cosplayed as him when I was playing him in a Smash Bros. tournament. You've got to admit there is no one quite like Ness in the history of Nintendo games and there is nothing quite like Earthbound (Mother). Heck, inadvertently I was a lot like Ness as a kid. I was chubby, wore stripped shirts and baseball and has a fixation with yo-yos and baseball ball related items.

I don't like Lucas much, but I'll be more than happy to use his Clause alternate costume! I wish Fuel or even Kumatora was an alternate costume/coloring for Lucas, because I would like to see Earthbound (Mother) get some representation outside of their main characters. Who knows, maybe in Smash Bros. 4 there might be Flint, *Lucas's Dad* or Pokey, *Ness's next door neighbor* but most likely if anything we will see alternate colorings. I'm rambling...

Could someone hook me up with the sig of Ness and Lucas that moves?

Starmada brigade is a Fox/Wolf/Falco clan that I'm already heavily involved in. I'm pretty sure we'll end up challanging other clans at some point. And single-character clans would make for boring matches.

Also: screw you guys, I'm maining Lucas AND Ness equally. I will be the "masked avenger" who will oppose your racist ways! You lot don't deserve to main Ness, a character who's main attributes are tolerance, wisdom and kindness. It's an epic disgrace to Ness's fair name.

In response to what Nessbounder just said. I just Main Ness/Lucas. I define the word "main" as in to be my favorite character and I will use them for Tournaments/serious play. Although, I spend most of my time enjoying the game as a whole by using my favorite character /random.

Despite me not liking the name(i had a huge issue with the cultist in earthbound, but that is a different story entirely) i suppose as me, i will have to join you all. Ness is my main after all and i can never resist a challenge and a chance to test my mettle against people who dislike him. If i have any influence on alliances in the future, the only thing i say is that ice climbers should BURN!

well if you really want to know, it all goes back to this one time. I got in a fight with two cultists(i only had Ness at this point). First turn, they call for two more cultists. So i'm fighting four cultists. I have no PP left mind you, so Rockin' is not an option. On average it took me two hits to kill a cultist, disregarding missing and smashes. But it seemed for every one i killed, 1-2 more took his place. In this one single fight, it took me about an hour to kill them all. We went through the alphabet multiple times with the number that kept being called. I may have gained a decent amount of experience, but after this fight i have had an extreme grudge against the cultists. They wasted much time that i could have instead rescued Paula, defeated Carpainter and gotten a lot further in the game with.(and in getting farther i would have faced stronger enemies and gotten more experience in the long run)

I actually did that for experience. I'd just sit back defending and hitting cultists while not finishing them off so they'd call more in, I averaged about 8000 experience a battle and way overleveled at that point in the game.

Woohoo Pikmin and Olimar. As far as leveling goes I never had problems being to low. Using Ness and Paula's PP is enough to get you through most of the game without any trouble. And once you get to the Starmen Supers you gain so much experience trying to get the sword of kings. Right now I'm going through a new game to get all the 1/128 items (well only the weapons, the star pendent and the goddess ribbon) right now I have everything but the gutsy bat. Unfortunately I don't have my SNES here in my dorms, so hopefully i will be able to finish it up over spring break. Man I love that game.

But i would like to case my vote in favor of G&W alliance, because i personally like the retrorific characters(which Ness originally was meant to be). and G&W is obviously the most retrorific of all so i say "yay."

I would vote no on G&W, I think alliances should be real small and the only logical ally of ROB is G&W and we already have Pikmin and Olimar. Plus it would be a little unfair, I mean Ness really doesn't need any allies. Ness Vs the World, and Ness still wins easily.

Ness vs. the World? Now doesn't that seem backwards? Ness should be allies with the World before anyone else! Don't forget it was his alliance with the world that helped him to complete his ultimate goal in Earthbound. If anything it should be Ness and the World vs...everything else?

(upon further consideration, please change my vote to 'no', it doesn't make enough sense to be with G&W, as much as i personally may love the retrorificness, he doesn't make a sensical teammate as far as the big picture is concerned. All about what's best for the cult, right?)

I do not like Mr. Game and Watch for Ness' alliance. Mr. Game and Watch doesn't seem good.

If anyone, I'd like Ice Climbers because they can wobble (they can still do so in Brawl but to a lesser degree) and perform 0-death attacks that way. Try combining that and put a PK Flash on a wobbled enemy and they'd be destroyed no matter whom they are save Olimar.
