I agree.
I was alot more vocal and aggressive about my Geno support pre-brawl because I thought he actually had a reasonable chance.
6 years later and a little wiser, it's clearer to us that there are more important things to $election than popularit¥ on forums amongst the more experienced gamers.

For most people, I see this poll kind of being one where you don't vote for a lot of characters. Especially if you don't exactly play a bunch of videogames or stay current with rather minor characters. So I think that works in his favor. He's recognizable and doesn't have that "Im not a fighter" stench like Toad. So, I think for a lot of people he's a no brainer add, in a way? "Oh I know him! *adds*"

Because lets be honest, these aren't Nintendos top 30 most recognizable faces.

Never really noticed Bandanna Dee as a popular suggestion. There was some requests here and then, but nothing significant. But it was larger than it is now.

Mega Man has already done so on the poll and by far. I'd be surprised if he wasn't the most wanted newcomer at this point (especially when ChronoBound's finding indicates that he's the most popular in Japan as well).
