Mainly because when I was younger, I did a series of comics about a Penguin named Pete and I really like the Hanenbow stage in Brawl. So I mushed the two together...

Pikachu - The Brain (guess the reference there)
Kirby - Munchlax (both like to eat)
Rosalina - Elsa (both look like each other, thus in my headcanons Rosalina is a Frozen fan)
Samus - Ridley (after main protagonist of the Alien movie series, a heavy influence on Metroid, which could make for some great movie adaptations itself)
Bowser - Satan (both characters have been called the definition of evil over the years)

I will name my Peach Amiibo after another Disney princess, that is to be determined

I intend to get Wario and Charizard, these are the names I intend to give them

Wario - Terrance or Phillip
Charizard - Toothless

I also intend to get Dr. Mario, which I intend to name Becker

Other Amiibo name suggestions:
