I had been playing Melty Blood for a year during my time in High School

I just started playing again last year with Rei on and off

I just wanna play the game with my friend (who got me into it during hs) because of personal reasons so I wanna play all the fighting games with him as much as I can when I get back to San Jose for Genesis 2

I never beat him or his older brother in anything. I think the only game I ever beat them was SSBM (LOL) but they don't play that at all


Rei I'm going to main C. Ryougi Shiki for now since I dont have the game to play.

so...Can you please mod my ps2 memory card and burn me a copy of Melty Blood Actress Again? Also who's the best player to watch for C. Ryougi Shiki? I haven't been paying attention to any of the fighting game scene since December last year

can someone tell me, how come at lower percents, when i try to dair -> shine, my shine misses (yes im L-cancelling correctly).. are they being knockbacked too far or something?

it's probably DI. if someone you're playing does that often, you can just dtilt them after the dair

awesome.. also, if my dair is powershielded, can they react before i can shine then? i dont really understand how powershielding works

And I'm a bit shaky on how powershielding works as well... a while back some guy who tested it said that it doesn't get rid of shieldstun for non-projectile attacks and only allows you to exit the shield without the release animation, and you can retaliate with whatever you want after the shield stun ends as long as you let go of shield before then. Apparently some people (Armada) can powershield, confirm the animation, and downsmash on reaction.

I'm a bit skeptical though, as powershield-grab seems to work in situations where a normal shieldgrab wouldn't.

how about i'll take stab/mango since i'll be at cam's house, then i'll pick up fly

you can get spark, anto, and combofest.

unless there is some reason you need to take anyone
