So new information has surfaced about Brawl’s Subspace Emissary Adventure, but at the same time he also clued us in how trophies in this game will work. With the setup Sakurai has going, Smash players of all kinds will be itching to replay this mode again and again.<!--more-->

<p align="center">It seems the intent of Sakurai is to make Subspace Emissary just as central as the multiplayer aspect of Brawl. Trophies being earned through the use of trophy stands as if they were Pokéballs is the basic idea of this update.</p>

<p align="center">Much like in Pokémon one is required to weaken the enemy significantly in order to turn them into a trophy and capture them.</p>
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/modea11_071226c-l.jpg" alt="Gotaa catch 'em all!" align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>
<p align="center">If you happen to have a trophy stand with you and you weaken it enough, you can turn that enemy into a trophy by throwing said trophy stand at it.</p>
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/modea11_071226d-l.jpg" alt="Go Pokébal-err.. I mean Trophy Stand!" align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>
<p align="center">If you succeed in your attempt of it taking it out a loud thud will take place.</p>
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/modea11_071226e-l.jpg" alt="BA-BOMB!" align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>
<p align="center">And the Poké-err… Trophy is for you to scoop up.</p>

<p align="center">With the prospects of learning more about the back story about the Subspace Emissary one has even more incentive to collect these trophies and learn the purpose of the enemy who has entangled the very world of Smash.</p>
<p align="center"> <img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/modea11_071226a-l.jpg" alt="See, size does matter in Japan..." align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>
<p align="center">And then there are the sSE Bosses…</p>
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/modea11_071226h-l.jpg" alt="So, now instead of using Pokéballs, you used gold plated discs to change them into trophies..." align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>

<p align="center">It appears that bosses will be, but are not required to beaten through use of the trophy stands. I’m really interested to see how this trophy making will fit into the whole story. Maybe the Emissary will be sealed back into a trophy again in the end, but then, who knows?</p>

</blockquote>Masahiro Sakurai said:Since you can’t get these trophies if you don’t have a trophy stand, pure skill is not enough-it requires a little luck, too.
I’ll make it so you’ll somehow be allowed to fight the bosses even after you’ve already cleared the game, so it’s OK if you don’t hunt all these trophies down in the first battle.
