Stance on PM being a tournament game.

NOTE: This isn't a thread bashing PM or it's community.

Since EVO and Apex are no longer doing PM, is it reasonable to push PM to grow a smash community in your area?

Where I am, there are a lot of PM players. I just recently started holding small locals at my house and am currently trying to get the PM scene around my area to grow even further. The game itself is really fun, and everyone has a blast playing. I think that if EVO and Apex won't hold PM events, and there are people that want PM events, the community should have hold them. I understand why EVO and Apex are reluctant to feature it, but what should the little guys be afraid?
