The colors CAN be a bit tricky, but if you manage to decode one or two costumes, then the rest are just easy guesses.
I generally use this page, to figure out what colors I know, and which ones have "special" abbreviations for them (like Aq = Aqua).
But, from what I gather, these are what you have to look out for.
AJ = IGNORE; not a color file, contains animation/model stuff, or something rather~
Nr = Normal (Default color for character; i.e. Red Mario; Green Bowser; Green Yoshi; Red/Pink Peach; etc.)
Bu =
Blue
Gr =
Green
Gy =
Grey
Re =
Red
Wh =
White
Bk =
Black (or
Brown)
Ye =
Yellow
La =
Lavender (Blue Team alt; varies)
Or =
Orange (Red Team alt; varies)
Aq =
Aquamarine (Blue Team alt; varies)
Pi =
Pink (Red Team alt; varies)
To figure out a character's color, it works something like this... Takes a bit of common sensing out costumes, and/or just lucky stabs:
So if you wanted to find Captain Falcon's pink-and-white texture, you'd look for:
PlCaWh.dat
~~~
Pl = Player
Ca = Captain Falcon
Wh = his White-and-Pink texture
Or, Mario's brown-and-white costume:
PlMrBk.dat
~~~
Pl = Player
Mr = Mario
Bk = Black
...Yeah, don't know why they labeled his Brown one Black, but that's why I say... just check which colors exist, and which colors appear missing, and if they appear close to whatever colors are left over... you'll get 'em.
