Crono is the best choice.

I would also love Terra from Final Fantasy 6 or Kaine from Final Fantasy 4. With 4 getting that DS remake as well the after the years content, I would say it is the best option out of the Final Fantasy series for Smash. FF4 has a really strong connection to Nintendo.

I know but shes owned by them now and most likely would be counted as one , like how bomber man would be counted as konami or how jack frost or flynn would be counted as sega these days.

That still doesn't change the fact that she didn't originate on a Nintendo console which was part of what the OP specified.
