Special Edition Smash Bros. 3DS XL Coming to Wal-Mart

I wish it had the c-stick. I feel like this is just a way for Nintendo to push the Super Smash Bros 3DS on us and then make us buy the N3DS when that drops. Why they didn't release the N3DS as the original 3DS we will never know. I probably won't buy one until the N3DS hits North America.

Just the Smash Logo on the Red 3ds would've been epic,Similar to the Zelda 3ds's that have been released. This just seems cluttered.

I hate these special edition consoles. Anybody who actually HELPED OUT NINTENDO by buying these things when they first came out won't want to buy a new special edition thing that is just as if not more expensive. I like the new route they're taking with the new 3ds. Now people can customize their console without dropping 150 - 200 bucks.

DecalGirl has some pretty great options (including custom made decals) for $20 on a 3DS XL, here's a pic of mine

That cover design is just excessive, it's basically the existing 3DS XL colors with a decal slapped on it.

Get a gelaskins if you want a fancy degin for the one you already have and BOOM now you have (insert favorite smash bros character here) on your 3ds and it only costs $20-$25 so i'll be saving my $200 thank you very much or atleasst my $180

With MH4U launching next year as well as the upgraded 3DS, I see absolutely NO point in wasting money on a Smash 3DS XL. Upgraded RAM, more buttons, and better SD card support are much more appealing than a Smash cover. Sorry, Nintendo. You're too slow.

Wouldn't they want the new 3DS C-stick on the new 3DS for smash bros? Art is fancy yes, but with this in mind it just puzzles me.

I don't get the point in upgrading to the Smash-themed 3DS XL when we know the "New 3DS" model will lead to "New 3DS" exclusive games in the future. Why would anyone want to upgrade now when they'll likely need to upgrade in the relatively near future?

I wish so bad that Smash3DSXL, I want it because I already had bad moments with my previous 3DSXL playing Kid Icarus Uprising, the Circle Pad didn't stand good after 1 year of careful playing.

If Sakurai don't put configurable/changeable D-PAD buttons (instead of C-Pad) a lot of users will report Circle Pads that threw out the portable.

Yeah I'm going to buy it mainly because my birthday is on the 14th, so it's very easy for me to obtain it and I mean I can just get the New 3DS after more games come out for it. I want Xenoblade, but I can hold off on it until more games utilizing the new features come out. That most likely won't happen until 2016, so I think I'm making a great choice with a console displaying some of my favorite Franchises

$200 for an ugly-*** decal on a flat 3DS XL? No thanks. Especially when it doesn't even come with the game, what's the point of that?

Not worth buying regular 3DS anymore anyway when the N3DS will be coming next year (even if there's no confirmation on it coming to the west just yet).
I'm sticking to my original purple 3DS with the gloss/sparkles on it, the 3DS will always be my favorite looking under the DS format all because of that. Here's hoping the N3DS doesn't do boring flat colors like with the 3DS XL, that's one of the things I hate about the 3DS XL, besides the top screen not looking sharp due to wrong scaling in resolution.

Then I will save up for it, or I'll wait for the inevitable price drop. I don't see the regular N3DS being worth over $300 at best. Maybe the XL, but not the normal one (which is the one I'd go for, unless the New XL no longer has that blurry resolution to it).
