SSB64 community is more like a social club than a welcoming community. Once a general opinion has been made about a certain individual, they get ridiculed and made fun of regularly until they leave "community". People will hate this individual, not because he has ever done anything to them but because everyone else has said that it is ok to hate this person. The individual being ridiculed will be in a no-win situation. If he is quiet he will still have people talk crap about him. If he defends himself, people will say, "oh there he goes again, this is why its ok to hate him", just for standing up to them. Just a thought about the "community".

I ran 11.2 in high school. Pretty sure I'll still break 12 even though I was handicapped and physically unable to run 8 months ago.

PRs

800: 1:58.9
400: 50.2
200: 22.9
100: 11.2

Granted I was 17 for all of those, 2 years ago I still ran a 53 in the 4 and 23.8 in the 2 while out of shape at my high schools alumni meet.

I do wish I could've done the pole vault. My coach failed the pole vault certification both times and so we were never allowed to perform it at meets.

Would've won NH. NH and VT suck at track. MA and CT are the best in New England. RI state champ in high school was just shy of 16' and he set the state record when I was a senior in 07. I think Karajan is from NJ which I know is a competitive state and had really good runners, but idk about their fielders.

All this track talk makes me want to go back to the glory days of high school.

started when i was a sophomore in highschool, jumped 11'6
junior year i jumped 12'6
i was injured my senior year of highschool.
jumped 14'6 my freshman year in college then quit after that year to focus on school. also quit because the school didnt have a pole vault pit to practice in

towards the end my man ozell comes in a chills

he's this jacked ass black dude

we exchange some small talk and then he's all like "yo you still smash brosing?"

and i'm like "hell yeah man! big tourney this weekend in the city"

he's all like "word that's dope, what character you play as?

i'm all "well i use all of them but pika is probably my main guy"

then ozell is all like "yo kirby is my main *****! he's got them feet!"

i'm laughing and am like "yeah Kirby's feet are hella strong ahaha"

then he's like "for real tho, at low damages you come in with that rapid down kick, then you chain into like 6 or 7 up kicks and ****** have like 100 damage already"

wait..

is this kid really talking about dair up tilt combos with kirby? n00bs know about that ****?

i let him continue

he goes "yo ****** go mad hard at smash bros, i've seen kids play on their lap tops with xbox controllers and ****. some of them even have usb adapter so that they can plug their 64 remote into their computer. they be playing online and everything"

i'm like "ozell.. how do you know all this ****?"

and he's just like "***** you're not the only kid nerding up around here!"

guys

there might be kids in my town that would be interested in playing competitively

based on the convo i just had they shouldn't even be that bad either

i'm gonna investigate

Nova, I'm down to play you if you want. I have to buy a new ethernet cable, but when I do, we can play.
I need to get better, so it'd be nice to have one person to play with constantly. Let me know if you're down
