This is the result of the Socal's Choice Award for 2007. Also some of the vote was a joke but I still counted them ... kind of.
I also took this idea and words from MLGPRO. Credit to them:

Best Combo Skill
1. DEHF
2. DSF
3. Champ
A player’s ability to combo another player is often the deciding factor in a match. The longer your can keep an opponent under your control, the better. These players all excel at using their character's move set to deliver both long and damaging combos. They usually must mix mind games with technical skill to follow their opponent and keep them under their control. This combination makes them incredibly diverse because they can adapt to almost any situation, and also incredibly dangerous because one false move may result in an obscene amount of punishment.
Best Recovery Player
1. Hugs
2. Mango
3. Edrees
Simply put, these players just don’t want to die. They have mostly mastered the art of DI’ing an attack at just the right angle. Upon their return, they usually manage to manipulate the opponent into being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The ability to fake someone out while recovering is an art in Smash, and it is very difficult to perform effectively. These players also have the ability to use their character's recovery abilities to there fullest potential. Due to this fact, they can survive to ridiculous percentages, which affords them ample time to inflict further damage on their opponents.
Best Mind Games
1. Hugs
2. Mango
3. Ken
These players have been chosen not just for their technical prowess, but for their ability to out-think their opponents. Mind games are developed after playing hundreds of matches against a variety of opponents. These players are known for their mental trickery--for finding a strategy that, until broken, can be used to abuse the opponent to no end. It is for this reason these players are some of the best and most talented in the world.
Most Technical Skills
1. Knivez
2. Sniper
3. Hugs
Technical skill is not a prerequisite for being the best, but to be able to compete, the higher your level of technical skill, the less you will have to make up for it elsewhere in your game. With nimble fingers, these players can perform the littlest and most precise of maneuvers not only consistently, but effectively. Technical skill takes practice to develop, but once it is achieved it is rarely lost and often leaves those who witness it in awe.
Best Edge Guarding Player
1. Hugs
3. Mango
3. Edrees
It doesn't matter if you can hit them out of the stage. What matters is if you can keep them from coming back. Edge guarding is one of the most important skill in the game, and very tricky to do. This is also the skill that define a good smasher from a bad smasher.
Best Low Tier Character User
1. Gimpyfish
2. ROFL
3. Gabe
The 26 Smash characters are divided into six even tiers, the lower half of which is commonly referred to as low-tier. There is a little bit of history behind this though, because the tier list used to include only five tiers. This was changed about a year ago, and with the six-tier system, some of the low-tier characters were moved up to the bottom of the mid-tier. For voting purposes, players were advised that “the lower the better,” as long as that character still remained competitive. These players all possess a skill that is hard to develop; they have managed to make a character that is commonly viewed as unplayable into something to be feared. Such a process takes years of practice, and while the characters may be somewhat limited by their own inherent abilities, these players make use of every possible advantage the character contains, while effectively downplaying their disadvantages.
Most Versatile Character
1. DSF
2. Mango
3. DC
The ability to play well with a diverse roster of characters adds greatly to a player's understanding and ability to play the game. Obviously, the more options a player has for disposing of their opponent the better. This award is given to honor those with that rare ability to play a broad range of characters. These players are all capable of playing just about every character in the game against an opponent and are frequently known to mix things up when they get into a bind. It isn’t just their ability to play many characters though; it is how they utilize this skill that makes them feared.
Best Teamwork
1. Lucky
2. Mango
3. Emerican
These players are all very capable as individual Smashers, but when they play on a team, they focus not only on themselves, but on helping their teammate and contributing wherever they can. They fight using strategy, sheer force and will. Because of their unselfish natures, they are the type of teammates any player would love to have.
Best Comeback Maker
1. Mango
2. Lucky
3. DSF
It’s quite frequent that when a player is losing, it has a snowball or quicksand effect on his game, and things just become worse and worse until they dig themselves into a hole from which they cannot escape. These players have a knack for digging themselves out of bad situations, and fighting their way back from being down.
Most Traveled Smasher
1. Hugs
2. Mango
3. Gimpyfish
These players manage to attend tournaments not just locally, but nationally; or in the rare case, internationally. In doing so they represent their home-Smash-turf in what has become a proud and tense rivalry within the Smash community and nation. These players have taken traveling and getting out to tournaments to heart, and they often sacrifice much of their extra time and resources to do so.
Most Unpredictable Smasher
1, Rickety
2. Gimpyfish
3. DC
Smash is all about anticipating your opponent's next move (and what competitive game isn’t?). These players all excel in making a predictable situation unpredictable. They are known for changing strategies mid-match to beat an opponent--or they may change to a lesser, underused character, just to throw off the other player when they counter pick. Overall, these players keep the opponent guessing about what they are going to do next, and in the process they use that advantage as a potent weapon to win their matches.
Best Trash Talker
1. Eznjay
2. Mike Haze
3. Hugs
Aside from just making the crowd laugh, trash talking is a major part of any sport. Being able to get inside of your opponent's head and break down their confidence can turn fierce competitors into whipping boys. Taking that extra second to verbally rub a particularly nasty finish in your enemy's face can frustrate them to the point where they become ineffective. These players are the forked-tongued trash talkers who are most known for getting into your head and dismantling your game.
Funniest Smasher
1. Eznjay
2. DEHF
3. Gimpyfish
Smash would be a very intense community if we didn't have people who jokes around. Anything from joking about somebody's skill to something stupid. These people make the community that much funnier, and it would be dull if we didn't have them
Friendliest Smasher
1. Rickety
2. Neal
3. DEHF
A big part of Smash's continued success and crucial place in the competitive gaming scene is the fact that there are many players who are willing to help along newer players. These players are the ones who help make Smash such a beautiful game to be a part of. They show up to compete, and they are some of the best in the world at that, but they also bring with them something else. They are willing to give of themselves to further the community along--to help out that new player, or to chat with an old or new friend. These are the players that help make every event unique and memorable.
Most Look-a-Like Smasher
1. Ultra Luigi
2. Inks
3. Arash
These smashers will usually be greeted with "Hey! You look just like Luigi!". Not only do they play smash, but they also play with the character that look like them! It would only be a dream come true if they dress up as their look-a-like and play as a crew.
Most Improved Smasher
1. Mango
2. DEHF
3. Lucky
This award is given to the players who have shown the most growth throughout the season. They pushed their way up the ranks through hard work, and once they realized their potential, they found themselves situated among the pros as some of the best the Smash community has to offer. Seeing these players come so far over the course of their many event appearances is the kind of thing that makes us love what we do even more.
Breakout Smasher
1. DEHF
2. Mango
3. Lucky
While these players have certainly already made their mark on the season, their peers see great potential in them to become even greater, and thus they were voted as the “players to look out for most” during the upcoming 2007 season.
Best 2v2 Team
1. Lucky & Mango
The ability to play well as a team in Smash requires players to adapt to ever changing situations and take into account not just an enemy's movements, but their teammates' as well. With Team Attack turned on, Smashers must employ a variety of skills that are different from those of the singles competition. Here, it is not just your ability to out-play and out-think your opponents that is important, but also your ability to work with your teammate. These players are all adept at making the best decisions amidst ever-changing situations as well as working together to bring the competition to their knees.
Best Overall Smasher
1. Mango
The granddaddy of them all, this award is given to the players who were determined to be the very best at the end of the day, with all aspects and skills of the game taken into consideration. Ken was chosen by the other pros to represent the pinnacle of mastery in Smash, and his very presence in a game strikes fear and uncertainty in the hearts of the opposition. His abilities rank at or near the top in just about every category, and he doesn't have any major weaknesses to speak of. It is this all-encompassing skill that has made them so incredibly successful during the 2007 Season and has earned them the right to be called the best player in all of Smash.
*no description for these since i made them up myself*

The Gayest Smasher
1. Knivez
No one else was voted in this category at all. The Smash community have all chosen Knivez to be the gayest smasher of 2006. Luckily, I was able to contact the man of the hour himself, and asked him to write a speech. Congratulation Knivez
Alas, it is time for my speech, and i cant help it as i'm glancing over the horizon night sky from my balcony, staring away into the clouds that permeate my soul, to think of what it truly means to be a man. A man is one that does not fear other men. He is one with himself, and in this sense, can truly become something entirely the same(WOW DEEP). Today is the celebration of such man, for he was voted gayest amongst them all. It is not so much that i find men attracting, but moreso that they are attracted to me (Ezynjay), and with this daring curiousy i explore into the unknown with a passion unlike anything ever seen.I can hear the cheering now...knivez...knives...KNIVEZ WHOOOOOOO..that was intense. My ****ing cat just knocked over my dish..i'm pissed. Speaking of piss, did anyone look at Azeem after playing me? enough said. Now i know what many of you are thinking, and that is how/when/why/where/ do i come up with this philosophy, this lifestyle, this awesome-possumness and i must say it is undoubtedly in my overconfidence as a man who is beyond straight. It shows how i can and will say whatever comes to mind without looking back, because we all know who the real gays are.(Thomasexy, gabe, and azeem are just a few) Neighborhood P will take this into his own hands and start some baseless argument about how he is bored and constipated at his life and of course turns it against everyone on smashboards. Fabian will respond about how he is better than him and yet remain scared of spiders for the rest of his smash career, which has yet to be started( that kid is awful, but still better than P), JTB will one day be taken on a date to disneyland with a strange man who claims to have met her at a party. JTG will be sitting at home bored because her date ditched her, and in turn begins to play smash and eventually surpass his homosexual brother at it. THis sets off a cataclysmic chain reaction as JTB begins to cry into luigi's shoulder, while luigi practices his falcon so that he may one day defeat my bowser (we're 2-0). PRETTY SAD.
Blitz will drive over because he's interested in the drama but finds out DSF and Nezumi had already left riverside, and instead gets stuck tending to JTB and luigi. THen champ ims me and asks me the stupid questions in life, like do i have a heating blanket or how do i spell the word bureaucracy. Mike y continues to repeat route 66 while azeem looks in the mirror and just hates himself. Edreese is always cute.
unfortunately, time ran out in this hour so we have to cut his speech short. See you all again in SoCal's choice award 2008!!!
