What’s this video everyone is talking about?

An ACP-PLV video from 2 years ago that showcased their process on promotional material was taken down.

I was watching the ACP-PLV video and it showed how they made their promotional material and all that. I shared the link with someone else and they notified me that the video got taken down by the user less than an hour ago which is really weird to me

Amen. It's also probably hard for Japanese fans to vote for characters when the entire roster already has everything they want. Heaven forbid the West gets a few fighters.

I'm certain there are some DQ fans over there practically frothing at the mouth, waiting for anything from that to be revealed in Smash.

That's generally the biggest point Team Real has.

Judging from what we know, there's just too much required for this to be fake, which I doubt any sane human would be willing to do. I doubt any person willing to make a fake leak would have the materials and resources that a printing company would, and even if they worked at one, they are NOT allowed to use the equipment for personal things, let alone creating a silly fake leak to rouse a game community.

Not to mention that I doubt they'd want to see the fanbase squirm for as long as possible, when the game is nearing pretty close now.

Well a promotional video showing the printing company's settup (i.e. that the machines are way too big and industrial for an employee to fool about with on his lunch break and make fake smash stuff with) has been deleted over the weekend which may suggest damage control.

K Rool having a counter wouldve been entirely in character if he didnt just stand there, if he played dead or did the "Yeah! Thank you!" Thing from DK64 to trick people into thinking hes an open target, that totally wouldve been in line with K Rool. Either way im happy hes in and he looks very fun to play.

Here's what I'm thinking is going on with not with these insiders.

• On the day of the leak dropping, October 24th, everyone is vocal about it, expressing their opinions.
• On the 25th, people are still talking about it. At the end of the day, Marina expresses her comment, which is not affiliated with either side. A key point she mentions is "Will be contacting Nintendo and Namco".
• On the 26th, radio silence from insiders happens, and everyone who chooses to not be silent decides to bash the leak as fake at all costs.
• Nintendo probably found out about the leak from Marina on the 25th, or late 26th.
• From there, Nintendo goes into full panic mode, telling all these insiders to shut the **** up about it immediately, heavily suggesting any talk about the leak can and will cut them from the ambassador program.

Thoughts? This ain't limited to GameXplain either, IGN hasn't spoken either, and insiders who claim the leak is fake are going ballistic.

Not exactly, IGN spoke about it in neutral language not too long ago.

Having all of the information laid out at once helps put things in perspective and remind that while there are definitely things that seem fishy, there’s still a significant likelihood that it’s real regardless. Don’t pick sides. Just stay open minded.

I've been having a feeling lately I haven't felt in forever. That's of being a kid on Christmas Eve, and you don't know for sure what you're going to get the next day. There is a big box under the tree that is the right size and shape for an N64, but you don't know for sure. Crazy that a maybe fake leak can bring back feelings like that I haven't felt in forever.

If grinch is real, then you open the box and get the N64 you wanted. If it's fake you open it and get new socks and a book about the civil war (nonfiction).

Still on this being real, but I don't think every printing company has the same set of rules in what is or what isn't permitted, so it's hard to have a real answer based on their procedures that we aren't able to fully grasp.

Ok so I am just gonna write out my thoughts on the grinch leak. I personally think the leak is 100% real. Let’s dive deeper into the leak shall we?

The game comes out December 7th. The grinch leak involves marketing for a lamp shade. Typically marketing gets the promotional material way in advance before the game comes out so it makes sense that the person would have access to promotional material. Next the leak was a snap chat video. Usually, snap chat is used to send stuff to friends and the videos disappear after someone watches it. My personal theory is the leaker is friends with the guy who works on the promotional material and leaked it out. That would explain why the guy has his likin profil proudly visible.

Here's what I'm thinking is going on with with these insiders.

Yeah it just seems werid that so many of the insiders trash the leak in 2 minutes and then go about their daily lives. It seems a little too suspicious to me to be left unnoticed. Especially since it is abnormal for them. I definitely think Nintendo is in full panic mode as it looks bad if the leak is fake or real. My latest theory is what you said plus Incineroar being used to create hype as a fake leak, and the leakers wanting to not look bad that they were wrong playing along with it.

In IGN's case, I don't think that'd matter much, seeing how people deem them as ignorant.

This is definitely interesting though. Nintendo possibly trying not to raise a fuss and hoping people have their attention diverted elsewhere.

It's already dead. Either the leak is real, or there's going to be a ton of disappointed people. Terrible idea to hold the roster back so long knowing Smash's history with leaks imo

So, Bandai finally admitted that they did gave out leakbait to prevent any leaks related to Tekken 7?

Thought so. At first, I thought that incienroar wasn't in the banner because he was saved for DLC reveal later. Now it just make sense, incienroar is likely leak bait, and that why insiders are settled on calling the banner fake because it didn't have incienroar. It's also possible that insiders' sources were likely smoked out after giving out information about incienroar in the smash.

Now, I'm sure that minecraft content are leak bait as well because it would prevent spoiling of hints that Banjo is in.

it's also kind of like the feeling that you're getting the N64 you convinced yourself you were going to get 10 years ago, but back then your parents could only afford a sega gamegear and you just had to smile and pretend like you were really grateful

The person who wrote this clearly has never worked in a printing company if they think those three points aren't likely to happen.

I work at a grocery store, and there've been people who regularly stole money for weeks before they got caught-- y'know, cashiers in a place were there's a crapload of ceiling cameras. (Even heard tell of a shift manager doing it right before it was bagged up and sent to the bank; took months before he was fired because he was only taking a little bit each time.)

A one-time disappearance of a tiny amount of resources at a print shop? I doubt most would bat an eyelash or even care.
