I'm not aware of their track record, any good? I'd say a unique character trailer with two characters is fairly surprising (even more surprising than Incineroar being in even considering the Grinch leak). I'm still wondering if that means a unique character with an echo (I just couldn't imagine a first party character sharing a trailer with a third party, even if Kencineroar makes too much sense) or two unique characters in a single trailer. If true, this really throws things in a loop.

Would any insiders know if Incineroar could be another "Gematsu" situation? A character that was planned at one point and made the rounds, but ultimately never ended up in the final roster. Excluding DLC anyway.

so why is everyone saying he’s in danger or something? The way people reacted to my post I assumed he had died or had a heart attack or something

If you look closely at the banner leaked, there's also a conductor with them, so maybe "Rhythm Heaven" could be more a more suitable name considering all the elements about the character.

I could see the logic in that. I forgot about that bit in context. Derp. Though the kids are still the focus, so both could work. It's be the opposite of Pokemon Trainer, if you will.

They're not really a rumor guy from what I know, but they do work as a translator for various sites like KHInsider and Persona Central, so I wouldn't be shocked if they do have sources. Given their transparency on this whole thing I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

That and they're not really the only one who has sources telling them the leak might be real, as papagenos will attest to.

Worth remembering that before echoes were a thing, Lucina and Robin were announced in the same trailer, fully animated and everything.

But you're not wrong. A third party sharing the spotlight with a first party, up until now, has no precedent. Snake was announced in his own trailer. So was Sonic. And Cloud. And Ryu. And Bayonetta. And Simon/Richter. Ken and Incineroar would make for a nice video (two red fighters in a ring throwing fire at each other), but I could see Capcom not wanting to compete with Pokemon for fanfare.

Well, technically the precedence is Robin/Lucina, but if we're just talkin' Ultimate here, then you're right.

Because not only had he been posting various crazy sounding posts for a while, he also straight up posted this:

Furthermore, he went dark over pretty much all social media for a few hours after this post, with other youtubers showing visible worry over him, and apparently even the cops were called on him.

So some people probably really did think he died.

Things were pretty crazy for a while, but apparently he's okay now though. We still don't know about the details behind why he did what he did, but people theorize that it was a mental breakdown of some sort.

yeah just to reiterate it all again:

a credible source came to me with info from a microsoft source of theirs.

the microsoft source had heard all the banner characters plus incineroar before this banner leak happened but could only for sure confirm banjo.

when the banner leak came out they considered it proof of what they had heard, but were confused where incineroar was.

now other "insiders" have seemed to agree they also heard incineroar and now possibly (an)other character(s) as well. I have no idea whats actually happening behind the scenes but i do NOT think the banner is your typical faked leak, i think its likely real but something strange is going on here with what insiders have heard.

Ok I thought so. I know game watch is his own system but I didn’t know the time frame of its release.

I was going to say it’s pretty interesting that every retro has had a toy product of some sorts.

And I don’t really count out as a retro. Sakurai revived his series and rob was also in brawl as a retro.

So the true retros that are kept secret pre release have had toy releases.

That’s interesting. It also just dawned on me that if I’m correct ice climbers and pit were shown before release and did not have toy releases, but the ones that were hidden( game and watch, rob and duck hunt, and now Mach rider if the leak is true) have had them.

That could honestly be part of the thought process behind Mach rider. Maybe Sakurai wanted a character that had history with Nintendo’s pre game legacy and it’s actual game legacy.

Yeah, which is why I'm trying to consider other possible scenarios, including the leak isn't real, and perhaps 2 first parties share a trailer (like Robin and Lucina), though I really can't speculate on who. Best guess, if the Grinch leak is fake, Isaac/Felix, as that was one of my predictions before dwindling down my newcomer predictions to 5 last month. What gets me is the ambiguity of that statement.

• Incineroar IS in the game (Eat pants Pyra ).
• We are getting at least two more characters who will be revealed in the same trailer.
• Some of the characters within the banner leak are in the game. The plural is important. It could mean we're getting more than Ken and Incineroar (Don't take this as a hard disconfirmation of box theory).

That being said, I'd compare it to the Palutena leak from the Sm4sh era in how wonderfully executed it was, and it could actually be based off of real information.

We'll see how this plays out over the next couple of weeks or so. Hopefully we get a direct announcement soon.

Snake was announced at the end of the Brawl E3 trailer, which also revealed many first party characters.

While he wasn't revealed directly alongside these characters, there is a precedent for this.

My theory is that Incenroar is bait or day one dlc if you have Nintendo switch online.

Sora is also real but the first true dlc character. This would explain all the contradictions the insiders seem to have.

But at the same we’ve hard Nintendo is ****ing with leakers hard with false info so perhaps everyone is falling for a trap set by Nintendo that would cover up a big leak like this because it raises doubt.

So not just the banner characters, but two more?!
This is getting insane and although it seemed like a conspiracy theory to me before, I wouldn't put it past Nintendo and Sakurai, that they actually beat the leakers by spreading tons of false information (possibly also creating a false banner, although that could massively backfire if they can't deliver in another way in the next direct).
We desperatly need that direct...

I feel like its more likely some sort of "gematsu situation" than straight up "faked" IF it isnt 100% real.

I feel like something else is going on here with it as insiders are indeed perplexed.
