Ugh yeah, the worst kind of animes are those that relies on fanservice. It's not only degrading and embarassing but it's also like... you couldn't be bothered to actually focus on quality writing and creativity?

I mean, I don't mind fanservice itself, heck I like a few ecchi series, but the abuse of it almost everywhere in modern anime has killed most of my interest on it.

Double standards? What double standards? Clones who are actually-different characters with their own personalities aren't as bad and half-assed as Dr. Mario, Pichu, Young Link and Dark Pit. Falco's a different character, Toon Link's a different character, Lucina's a different character, Lucas was a different character and so was Wolf! That's why Dr. Mario and Dark Pit are so bad, they're the exact same character.

I'm happy Sakurai is hinting at another direct. The Wii U version comes out next month, and my hype is at maximum levels.

I'd prefer to announce and broadcast the damn thing already rather than 'hinting' at it. And if there's no mo'chars, there's nothing to get excited about.

I'm sorry, but this is nothing but pure bias. You're only ok with Lucina because you like her, some people like Dark Pit and Dr. Mario. A single person's opinion doesn't define the roster. Dark Pit was nothing than a lazy palette swap glorified to character status and basically made a much-less-interesting version of every Shadow The Hedgehog-type character to ever exist. On a game with an array of memorable villains and antiheroes (Viridi, Phyrron, Phosphora, ****ING GODDAMN HADES!) Sakurai had to fill up the roster with a clone that didn't even deserve his spot as a clone.

I like the clones myself. They bring interesting variations and didn't take away any slots either.

Except that's not a fact, it's simply your opinion, and in some cases it's flat out not true. Greninja and Rosalina are incredibly popular, Pac-Man and Mega Man are ****ING PAC-MAN AND MEGA MAN, Little Mac is very popular in America, etc.. The only intentional oddballs I can think of are WFT and maybe DHD, but that's it.
