Haha ya, great post nonetheless. I remember when I was the exact same way, but now that you're on smash boards you're on your first big step to getting better.
PS, air dodging is a game mechanic that gives you invincibility for a short period in the air. It's accomplished by pressing the shield button while airborne. If you do it correctly (it is not hard to do) you will see your character do a "dodge" animation and they will flash. While they are flashing they cannot be hit!
