Hay man I'm picking up Falcon as a main and i really appreciate your vids. I just have one question. In the grand finals against player-1's Diddy at about 4:00 you were getting knocked off stage allot and every time you got hit you would Uair. is there a reason for that or you just wanted to?

In Brawl, and I think this game, using aerials would slow down some of your aerial momentum out of hits, which can help you go less far and recover easier, it feels like it's in smash 4 too, but I don't have any concrete data supporting it yet.

Videos from the GX championship in Georgia are up! It was a series of brackets with most of the same people, so I play a lot of the same people several times, the last 2 vids are from the final 3 person single-elimination bracket.

So I ended up winning smash 4 singles, pm singles, pm doubles, and melee doubles at Kings of the South, but sadly none of it ended up being streamed since the internet at the venue was terribad.
Regardless, I'm going to Olympus this saturday, which will be a pretty big regional for smash 4 and PM, I think at least 200 people (and ESAM) will be there which should make that pretty exciting.

Depends on your positioning relative to your opponent, and the height of your opponent's character, I'd just advise messing around with both a lot until you can consistently land it from varying heights and timings, since most opponents and the situations you encounter them in won't be static enough in general for you to land it the same way against everyone.

I'm pretty sure the first 54% is guaranteed, but the knee probably isn't. Would be nice if someone who knows about hitstun and stuff could tell me. For now, I guess it is a decent setup.

E: Upair instead of knee looks a little more convinving to me but it just doesn't look as cool ;-;
If it does combo, this is an over 60% combo though so that's pretty nice

Try using the three jab more than the infinite jab. By that I mean don't use the infinite jab as much, it isn't really very reliable.

Give a little more love to bair and be careful with those fsmashes. They worked for you in this match, but faster characters can just punish you like hell for using it.

I felt so powerless throughout the matches. I couldn't grab him, couldn't punish anything, couldn't get an upper hand during the neutral, couldn't recover decently, and I even ragequitted the first match at the second stock because I was used to a 2-stock ruleset lol. By the time he got the advantage in the second game, my mind had already been destroyed. Gotta work on mindset and play smarter, not harder. It'd be very useful to get a few tips for Sonic and my overall gameplay, though.

Hey there fellow Falcon mains, my name is Joey and I go by the tag LuLLo, you can call me whichever you like! I'm a pretty flashy Falcon main from The Netherlands and have been a Falcon enthousiast since the early days of Melee. Now that he's finally viable again I am eager to show my moves in tournies (only had 2 now, but much more to go!). My highest placing is 5th at the moment, but I'm training hard to at least make top 3 (kinda difficult to shoot for first place with Mr. R in your region...).
