Short Hop Lucas

I faced a level 9 computer Lucas the other day with my Fox (which is awful) and he didn't even lose a stock. He focused his strategy around short hopping and a close-up aerial game.

Anyone have any tips on how to play AS a short hop Lucas?

Seems like it'd be better than my current strategy of sucking and dying. =/

LOL, obviously you guys are new around here. There's no flaming on the lucas boards. Except by Tyr. Which is ok because he's one of the few here that's even moderately productive, and just wants to get a point across.
