Sheik's Melee DACUS

i remember reading a great thread on her melee dacus a loooooong time ago, but can't seem to find any info that isnt brawl when i search for it. Even youtube only brings up brawl. I know Sheik is the only (right) character with dacus in melee, but still...Can anyone help me out? I may be thinking of JC upsmash

DACUS doesn't exist in Melee, for any character. Perhaps you're thinking of boost grab or dash/run->jump cancel->up smash?

Dash Attack Canceled Up Smash. It's a technique that's only in Brawl (and possibly smash4)

It's in Brawl and Project M, and used to be in Smash 4 before it was patched out in 1.04. It's basically a boost grab with an up smash instead of a grab.

Thanks. Yea not exactly the same but you can do a JC Upsmash instead. Not quite the same range, but still hella good and should be part of any smasher's arsenal.

What trip said. JC upsmash gives a similar effect since you'll get a sliding effect out of your dash.
