The True Captuar Dash is the act of Back Dashing out of Crouch.
This is done by going from Down to Back in one frame. If you're late you will have to wait out the 8 frames of Squat Reverse (standing up).
This is controller dependant in that some controllers will have higher rate of Back Dash success than others.
You can work around this and have 100% success rate in the sacrifice of a few frames by simply Dashing forward and emediatly Dashing back.
Some people concider this mini Dash Dance out of Crouch the Cactuar Dash.

True Cactuar Dash

Run Crouch Fox Trot Back

The following drills will use the work-around to up the consistancy

To be continued

Moonwalking is the act of travelling backwards while Dashing.
This is done by carrying momentum from an earlier Action State into the Dash and preserving that momentum as much as possible throughout the Dash.

Stickywalking is running at slower speed than normal. This is best done out of Moonwalk.
If you preserve enough momentum through your Moonwalk and then enter Run the animation will be slowed down since it's tied to the travel speed. If you're travelling backwards the Run animation will be frozen untill you travel forwards.

The Charlie is the act of doing a Turn Run out of a Sticky Walk and having greater momentum than normal.

[Charlie] [Moonwalk, Sticky Walk]

[Double Moonwalk]

This is great. My ground movement mostly consists of dash-wd so I'll start incorporating these.

Great thread, l have a couple to add:
Cactuar dashing and sticky walking.
You're right. I somehow forgot all about crouch
I'll come up with some nice drills dashing out of crouch and so on tomorrow

About the sticky walk gimme a few minutes and I'll get some juicy examples
I'd prolly add a few variations since you can sticky walk out of WD

Top post have been updated with some Cactuar Dash drills
And a Sticky Walk

Edit: I gotto be honest real quick. Am I missing an input in the Cactuar Dash?
Is there supposed to be a tiny dash forward or walk after the crouch? It seems like you can save frames by doing so compared to waiting for Sheik to stand up after the crouch.

Edit: TIL Cactuar Dash IS in fact Dashing forward out of Crouch and then Dashing back emediatly.
I'll post new clips later on. For now you can enjoy my slow dashing back out of Crouch lol

Edit 2: FailFish TIL that you can Dash back out of crouch if you're frame perfect (Move stick from Down to Back in one frame). It requires a good controller that has reliable Back Dash rates (which is rare).

Quote: "you have to dash back during your “SQUATWAIT“ frames, which is a 1 frame timing. If you're 1 frame late, you'll be in your “SQUATRV" frames where you are unable to move. So in short, in order to Cactuar Dash, you have to be frame perfect."

You can get around this by Dashing forward instead, which requires little to no precision and Dashing back emediatly. This will cost extra frames but is much more reliable.
