I'm not trying to be ungrateful. Ugh.
First of all browny, I bought the wii myself, pretty much only for brawl, tvc, and a couple other games, most of which I also bought myself.
Second of all, I didn't actually want anything two years ago for my bday because they originally told me one game station was enough. They apparently changed their minds and decided to get me a 360 out of nowhere, which even though I'd rather have gotten a ps3, I acted grateful for. But then I offered to buy the ps3 with my own money that I could save, and they rejected the idea simply because two game stations was now enough according to them. One of which I didn't ask for in the first place.
But i'm not even that irked about it; it was one small post that you decided to insult me over, making it seem like i'm some type of bratty, spoiled teen kid, when in truth I actually buy most of what I've got myself.
And that money comes from mowing lawns (including my grandfather's 3 acres of land), vacuuming pools, blowing leaves, etc. And I earn maaaybe 15 dollars throughout the course of a week that way.
I'd get a real job if I could, but I have to wait another year.

Do you not believe there should be SOME day set aside for this celebration? You know, new years is a completely arbitrary date too. One day someone was like 'the year starts on this day' and that was it. When did the actual celebration of christmas begin? Its possible the exact date, like many things, were lost in translation.

Dont let me forget this post, i have to sleep for work at 3 am but I do want to answer this.

You don't even need to extend it that far out. You could even say, "then I guess you're never gonna eat at any other McDonald's ever again, huh?"

Same thing applies. Just because one McDonalds' food accidentally poisoned you, that doesn't mean that every McDonald's, fast food chain, restaurant, or grocery store is out to get you.

I play a bit of Blazblue at UNLV when someone brings it to UNLV. I really suck at the game and I only play as Noel. I might give it a try when I host a Blazblue tournament at the Las Vegas Supercon.

Speaking about the Supercon...do you guys think I'm insane or nuts hosting 6 video game tournaments in one day?

I'm going to host the following games

-Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

-Tekken 6
-Super Smash Bros Brawl
-Super Smash Bros Melee

I have to ask the person running the Supercon if I can enter any of the tournaments. I really want to enter the Sonic Adventure 2 Battle tournament.

If you don't believe in the existence of god then I really hope you don't ever associate yourself as a Christian, because that makes no sense, and can run everybody into problems. For example:

That's cool, but fyi my understanding of biblical teachings is that this lifestyle is not nearly enough, ie. not even morally defensible. (I'm just saying this to contrast some different perspectives, since I think it was sort of implied by your statement that it was an exampe of a "good" and possible "christian" lifestyle... if I'm in error, or my comment here is out of place (aside from this being a videogame website LoL), then please excuse me.)

People tend to get more preoccupied with what they are getting (a greedy mindset) as opposed to what they are giving.

tbh, my problem is that I can never think what the heck to get anybody. There's strong social pressure that I'm supposed to run around and shop for ppl -- and it's not even about the money, it's that I don't know what to get them, and it stresses me out like crazy. I'd much rather not receive anything, and then not feel obligated to participate in nonsense commercialism.

I am not sure what I am.

I have a habit of saying things like "Oh Thank God" or "Jesus, that was close," and things along that nature. Now I'm not sure if that's nothing more than a habit that's been beaten into my head after a couple of years, or if that's how I identify myself. To be completely honest, I'd say it's probably just force of habit, and I can't think of anything else to say at the given moment. I may very well be an atheist, but again I'm trekking on a fine line between the two and I'm unsure which side I'm leaning towards.

... I don't quite see the problem you're mentioning though? If you were talking about my view of life and how a Christian is expected to see it as such, then yeah, I guess I'm not affiliated in any way. Even if I'm wrong in that regard, I don't think I'm weighing anybody down by my choices; which is as I've tried to stress earlier should be justifiable as long as I'm willing to accept the consequences of my actions (and obviously reduce collateral damage. Nobody else should really have to suffer because of my incompetence).

Also, I was IMing Anthony, the event organizer for Supercon, I am permitted to enter any of the tournaments as long as I can run and play in the tournaments at the same time. I'm so entering that tournament to win a Sonic plushie (which I'm providing the Sonic plushies as prizes on top of the Visa gift card Anthony is putting down).

I might not enter the Brawl tournament though since I'm just afraid of how many people might attend Brawl and Melee. That might cause too much stress on me to do run that tournament and play at the same time.

Hopefully I can get some help while at Supercon. Sadly since I am limited to time, I'm going to have to over lap some tournaments. I only going to be running 2 tournaments at one time. Already I ask some people to help me out if I need to take a break. If Kinzer or Kita comes to the Supercon (which I'm not sure if they are or not), I might ask them to help me out with hosting a tournament. Also with Tekken 6, that game was a last minute add and that person who suggested that game might help me out with that. *sigh*...I know I'm going to be asking for trouble, but hopefully I can handle it.
