Hey everyone. I work at a gaming store in Elgin, called the Gaming Goat. We're primarily a card/board game store, but have recently wanted to adopt Smash into our event roster since a lot of us really enjoy it. Our Schaumburg location has had some success with Smash in the past and we'd like to continue it a little further west.

This would be our second Elgin tournament. We had a decent turnout for the first, and would love for it to spawn consistent weekly events.

Format - Melee (P:M as well if time permits)
$10 entry (7.5 pot/2.5 venue fee)
1pm start time
Double elimination
Standard ruleset, etc.

10 dollars for entry? You guys should make it five. Gamers HQ Weekly Sundays has it at 5, maybe you guys should match that?

Who's Kels? BTW, I hope I can make it here. I've never competed in a tournament in a while, so this'll be new to me.

Hey guys, just wanted to give you an update on the status of this series. We're going to be holding off on these for a short while because we've recently begun partnering with Events2Compete and will be hosting tourneys at the Gaming Goat Schaumburg. This is a decision out of my control so all I can do is relay info.
