Smash Apprentice
Sunday Smashfest is a bi-weekly that my group is hosting at Epic Gaming in Ironton, Ohio. We are mainly Melee focused, and would appreciate if people could bring setups to make the brackets run smoother!
We were hosting at the venue during the summer and averaged about 14-man brackets, but are also hoping to increase that number and have a good scene started for the area.
Bracket kicks off at 6-6:30 with people showing up as early as 5. If people show up before hand, the owner will let me know by sending me a message and I could possibly show up and we can do pre-bracket friendlies.
Entry fee is $5 per person. No waivers for setups, as it is just a biweekly. The bracket is Melee singles, with the payout being 60%/30%/10% after the venue gets an initial 25-30%.
Side brackets can include Melee Doubles, PM Singles/Doubles, Brawl Singles/Doubles or 64 Singles/Doubles depending on the number of setups provided. No entry fee/cash payouts for side events, though you are welcome to money match people. (Not during bracket on a bracket setup*)
We look forward to meeting new folk and making this a consistent event!

Epic Gaming is mainly a card/table top game shop with a rather large Magic the Gathering scene, which allows us to take up space for Smash events, and are generally just a bad ass group of people.
EG also sells canned soda and snacks. There is a Wendy's across the street. There are alternatively: Buffalo Wild Wings, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Ming Moon (Chinese foods, it's rly gud.), Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, Giovanni's, Long John Silver's, Rax, Shake Shoppe and KFC all in town.
