It's probably because he was trolling and mods decided to ban him for trolling instead of other, worse trolls as a way to make an example or something.

Mango was banned by the dumass admin named Ace because Mango told him to suck his **** for a really legit reason, generally being a ****
Mango after being banned pretty much never went on smashboards again.
I'm Mango's current roommate in the legendary Dunk's house and he has since "retired" from Melee and is devoted full time to playing World of Warcraft with one of his best friends, Rombo. Not once have I seen him go on smashboards since then, he seems to have lost interest, but according to him "I know I am the best and nobody can challenge me" and "*** u kage"
Now Josh, a long time friend of Atlus (spiralflame88 on youtube) came over with Atlus on his weekly trip to Dunk's house. Here we recorded vids of him and me and I challenged him to a 5 dollar money match, thinking that I would hustle them but it turns out he hustled me instead (two sets in a row).
He joined smashboards when he found out about it and posted his videos of him ****** me and lovage even though I asked him not to
Because Scorpion created his account at Dunk's house, Admins who want to think they have a big **** immediately jumped to ban Scorpion because they thought there was a 25% chance he was Mango based on old IPs. Are the gay mods of smashboards on Mango watch or something? Scorpion is a victim of dumass moderation, aka the Mods who aren't actually good at the game and feel they have a purpose in life by banning players way better than them

. I sent him a random msg about..apex or something and he was raging about not going and **** because ppl are gay and he got super banned or something. Then he said he was going to go all Mario like he did at GREV - 10 and he was going to place top 5 with Mario. If you guys want to believe these stories about "Josh"

plus, do you really think mango would lose to zhu? even with his mario, mango's the best in the world, and zhu is a washed-up tryhard who got his **** pushed in by lovage and lucky at the last tournament (sorry zhu LOL)
granted he was playing good here, but the gap between top 5-10 in the world and top 1 is absolutely enormous, you guys will get this once u get better
edit: i mean it's only natural for someone with such apparently vast natural talent to draw comparisons to mango, but he is a completely different person and physical entity. you guys just don't get it. if you hear someone calling him mango, it's like a nickname cause he's already so good. like duc jr. for dark prince. how ******** can u get ppl

...But if what I have heard about how Mango was banned was true, then that is just stupid.

It doesn't make sense for Mango to get special treatment. If you start giving the best players special treatment, where does it stop? Can Armada say whatever he wants? Amsah? Hbox? You get the point. Luckily these players don't seem to ever push the limits, or there would be much more of a controversy.
If what Mango said/did would get me (a scrub with ~100 posts who still hasn't been to a tourney) banned, then he should be banned. That's the only way to maintain a fair and equal community.
That said, I feel like the phrase "suck my ****" gets thrown around a lot on Smashboards, and that by itself shouldn't warrant a ban. Maybe there was more to the situation, or maybe this ban was unjust. I think that's a more important thing to debate.

Bottom line is this entire site is rated an E for Everyone site. Even though by this point most of the players are older, the site still keeps the E rating. Despite how funny Mango and everyone who follows him thinks his posting and trolling is. He should simply just try to stay within the rules and it would happen to him less.
