Sakurai teasing us?

I think Sakurai is mocking us all, and might aswell be the best IRL troll since Mohammed.

I imagine his mission worked like this...
Sakurai did a lot of hard work working on Melee, making the perfect game. He was tired of it, but felt perfection. Yet, people wanted more, so he took revenge...

PLAN 1:
SAKURAI: "Everyone, we will add online mode!"
FANS: "Yay, online with many functions?"
SAKURAI: "No, LOL!"
(Laughing his a$$ off)

PLAN 2:
(As fans are most concerned about characters, Sakurai used this to his evil plan)
SAKURAI: "You can vote for who you want in Brawl!"
FANS: "Sonic and Geno!"
(Sakurai thinks)
SAKURAI: "Sonic is in!"
FANS: "Wow, the voting works! Will we have Geno?"
SAKURAI: "Maybe. You will maybe get another third party character"
(With a evil smile, Sakurai adds Geno to his block a lot of times)
(The fans are wild, seeing every chance of Geno being in Brawl)
FANS: "Wow, will we really have Geno!? IT WILL HAPPEN!"
SAKURAI: F*CKIN NO, LOL!
(Laughing his a$$ off)

PLAN 3:
(People have not played Kirby for a long time, and Sakurai is angry)
FANS: "We want Geno, Sonic, Isaac and Ridley in Brawl!"
SAKURAI: "What about a cool character like King Dedede? Some Kirby characters?"
FANS: "No thanks, we want Geno and Krystal instead!"
(Sakurai is angry, but gets his revenge...)
SAKURAI: "No Krystal or Geno... But King Dedede and Meta Knight!"
FANS: "Awww...!"
SAKURAI: "Lol, noobs!"
(Laughing his a$$ off)

PLAN 4:
(Sakurai starts rumors of downloadable characters on the internet)
FANS: "Wow! Will we get downloadable characters!? GENO"
(Sakurai could simply say 'No', but...)
SAKURAI: I don't THINK so, but it's not impossible, despise Wii's lack of such an action!"
(In the near future, fans are still drooling while waiting, Sakurai laughing his a$$ off over it)

Think what you want, but I actually think that is what happened. All that stuff can't be random.

1) He said he would add online. He didn't say he would add many functions, just online.
2) Not everyone is mostly concerned about characters. As far as I know, the voting was about anything. Characters, stages, music, whatever.
3) Kirby characters have been way overdue since the first, when King Dedede was SUPPOSED to be in, and he missed the boat again in Melee.
4) Sakurai didn't start any rumor about downloadable characters. The fans did.

I just hope this is a joke topic and not serious. x.x

I think you guys brought this on yourselves. If you take what he said at face value you wouldn't have believed most of the rumors. (With the exception of the Ridley, Krystal and Geno)

Anyways. At first I thought this was a rehashing of the "Is Sakurai Mocking Us?" thread, but now...
Actually, even now I don't know what to think.

King DeDeDe was the second most-wanted character beside Sonic. Meta Knight was one of the most-wanted characters in Melee.

Do your research before you post threads like these.

Really, I found this funny simply because it's such a gross hyperbole of what ended up happening. Also, a lot of fans (including myself) wanted King Dedede and he was heavily requested even before Melee was released.

Why should should I ask you to do my job? We close threads here not just for breaking rules, but also out of necessity. This is not your common forum like GameFaqs or IGN...I could have sworn I've told you this before, but you just don't seem to listen.
